Gee, Dear, you missed "Tool Time", with Celtic Warrior and mbb308.

Did you do that on purpose????

mbb I missed it!? Damn!;)
Well, maybe just you can take me on that tool time tour (batting eyelashes) (flirty grin)

So tell me, when do we get to see pictures? Are all your jobs so involved?

CIpher, you're more than welcome:) Help yourself if I'm not here. The picnic basket is quite amazing..... it seems to restock itself :D

Takemee, sorry I missed you. I e'd you so I'll hear from you:)

((hugs)) mbb:rose:

Hey mbb308 how is the house coming along? I think that idea on the other thread is a pretty good idea if you want to start it, but
with my going back on the road again I wont be around much to
help. But the more I thought about it, I thought it might be a good idea. A buddy of mine is working on making me a hot round for the 45/70. He says I should get 23-2400 fps using that 300
gr jhp. mbb it sounds like a woman is interested in your usage
and mastery of your tools hehehe

The damned phone just rang as I sat to type this - that is so typical of the month of October so far. Oh well.

Well, Dear, anytime you want to play with my power tools, just let me know. I'm always happy for people to learn everything they can.

As soon as I get some scanner time, I'll get a few pics up.

I found the before and afters of a job we did four years ago - the pictures and the house aren't as good (by a long shot) as the last one. We must be getting better.

Yes, most of the houses this size are pretty much complete pieces of crap when we first walk in the door. They do take a while.

Hope that all is well with you, Dear.

I just may start that thread yet. We may be needing the US manual on sniper techniques, too - I'll see if I can find the link I had to that.

See the above post for power tool advice.

What ARE we gonna find to scrap about???? We have failed at every attempt so far.

Hey bro, that US manual might come in handy. That is what my
Mauser was made for you know.:D It is the sniper version of
the 98. Made for that little extra distance when needed if ya
know what I mean. That is why I have thought about a different
scope for it. Maybe a variable 9-20x40. Antelope are hard to sneak up on in the desert. I will still keep the original scope that
came with it. The old WW2 German scopes are almost impossible
to find anymore.
Yeah lol, at this pace we aren't ever going to find somethin' ta
raise hell about. About the only thing could be that Hitachi. I know it is of good quality, but it is Jap, isn't that a carpenter's umm
blasphemy. lol Those are supposed to be good quality. Their
routers are supposed to be top notch. I don't like Senco nailers.
How do you feel about Senco. I had two when I did remodling
and they never held up. Paslode was always the reliable gun.
How do you feel about Ruger pistols. Hey, at least I am trying
to find something to argue about. lol
Talk to ya later mbb.

All is wonderful with me darlin'. Hope it's the same for you;)

You must REALLY love your job! I can hardly wait to see pictures
:)

Hmmmm mbb..... I would love to get my hands on your power tools!
Ahh for the educational purposes you know:p *wink*

Morning, Kids - and thanks for stopping in.

If I could find a spare dollar or three right now, I could get a Hell of a deal on a scanner and do my own f*ing pictures!!!! Still at the mercy of others.

Oh well, it's the last day of this week, and then we have to take our lead class next week so that all our papers will be in order to work on this old stuff with Fed dollars in the project - new regulations and all that horses*!!!!

Spent the day, or too damned much of it, putting a new water pump in the '88 Suburban - the old one had started leaking. The mechanic wanted $300 to put one in - I did the job for $45 and three hours of my time. Works for me.

Lead class starts in the morning at 8:00. I can hardly wait - NOT!!!!

Chris and I can burn up some tobacco at work. Sitting inside, where you know we can't smoke, is really gonna suck nationwide.

They'll have breaks, though, and they spoon-feed the material so most will pass. It's just the lost week part that we don't want to do. We're not calling this tune, but we have to dance it anyway.

It doesn't leak, either. I'm not a half bad wrench turner.

Where is your mind??!!?

I've turned a wench or two in my time....

Just saw that the Raiders won again, and are still unbeaten. They have scored 101 points in the last two games - reminds me of the old AFL days!!!! Hell Yes!!!!

Me either - my head was under the hood.

That's a big f*ing truck, too. I had to stand on tiptoes to do some of it, and the backs of my legs hurt from doing it.

Let's laugh, shall we???? None of this crap is going to matter in ten years - only the people do.

My hip was bugging me, but it seems to be better these last few days.

Sometimes, while working on an old house, I'll wonder about the people who built it and lived in it - what they wondered about, and maybe something about them.

I usually tuck a newspaper in a wall while doing one.

That is sooo neat....we found a lot of old things in my former house...it's over 100 yrs old ...and it was fascinating to wonder too.....and I got to meet the people from Oregon ...the man and his 2 daughter's....he was in his 70's then and had lived there when a baby...and sent me a pic of the house and the man who built it....Very interesting...

Lead class begins in 47 minutes.

I cannot begin to express my thrilledness - not.

At least my papers will be in order.

Rose, I picked up several GREAT prints of my 125 yr. old house from the local Historical Society. The funniest part was that the photographer that took them lived in my house ca. 1890-1920.
