Well, maybe just you can take me on that tool time tour (batting eyelashes) (flirty grin)
So tell me, when do we get to see pictures? Are all your jobs so involved?

Celtic Warrior said:Hey mbb308 how is the house coming along? I think that idea on the other thread is a pretty good idea if you want to start it, but
with my going back on the road again I wont be around much to
help. But the more I thought about it, I thought it might be a good idea. A buddy of mine is working on making me a hot round for the 45/70. He says I should get 23-2400 fps using that 300
gr jhp. mbb it sounds like a woman is interested in your usage
and mastery of your tools hehehe

The damned phone just rang as I sat to type this - that is so typical of the month of October so far. Oh well.
Well, Dear, anytime you want to play with my power tools, just let me know. I'm always happy for people to learn everything they can.
As soon as I get some scanner time, I'll get a few pics up.
I found the before and afters of a job we did four years ago - the pictures and the house aren't as good (by a long shot) as the last one. We must be getting better.
Yes, most of the houses this size are pretty much complete pieces of crap when we first walk in the door. They do take a while.
Hope that all is well with you, Dear.
*wink*

mbb308 said:Spent the day, or too damned much of it, putting a new water pump in the '88 Suburban - the old one had started leaking. The mechanic wanted $300 to put one in - I did the job for $45 and three hours of my time. Works for me.
Lead class starts in the morning at 8:00. I can hardly wait - NOT!!!!

Cheap at half the price....smart doing it yourself....
Lead class..oh joy joy!!!!!!!!!....I hope they furnish goodies at least and have smoke breaks..haha
mbb308 said:
Chris and I can burn up some tobacco at work. Sitting inside, where you know we can't smoke, is really gonna suck nationwide.
They'll have breaks, though, and they spoon-feed the material so most will pass. It's just the lost week part that we don't want to do. We're not calling this tune, but we have to dance it anyway.
It doesn't leak, either. I'm not a half bad wrench turner.

wildrose70 said:
Yes I know soooooooo well about the no-smoking...and I try not to do it...in Tex it was easy as it was warm...then cold in Colo and snowed...and cool and windy here today....
I understand ...wasted time you cld be doing something else....
Oh I thought that said not a half bad WENCH TURNER!!!!![]()

Where is your mind??!!?
I've turned a wench or two in my time....
Just saw that the Raiders won again, and are still unbeaten. They have scored 101 points in the last two games - reminds me of the old AFL days!!!! Hell Yes!!!!
wildrose70 said:
Well now darlin....where do you think....it's the glasses...lol need cleaning...actually just being the silly ass I usually am...you either laugh or cry....
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh yes I'm sure you have turned your fair share of wenches![]()
Havent had the football on today...

Me either - my head was under the hood.
That's a big f*ing truck, too. I had to stand on tiptoes to do some of it, and the backs of my legs hurt from doing it.
Let's laugh, shall we???? None of this crap is going to matter in ten years - only the people do.

Well I'm w/you baby....in 100 yrs who will even remember....
ouch I hate having to do things that stretch the muscles....my hip was bothereing for awhile....but better know I think...too much running in the last week or so.....need to get rested up...
mbb308 said:
My hip was bugging me, but it seems to be better these last few days.
Sometimes, while working on an old house, I'll wonder about the people who built it and lived in it - what they wondered about, and maybe something about them.
I usually tuck a newspaper in a wall while doing one.
mbb308 said:Lead class begins in 47 minutes.
I cannot begin to express my thrilledness - not.
At least my papers will be in order.
wildrose70 said:
That is sooo neat....we found a lot of old things in my former house...it's over 100 yrs old ...and it was fascinating to wonder too.....and I got to meet the people from Oregon ...the man and his 2 daughter's....he was in his 70's then and had lived there when a baby...and sent me a pic of the house and the man who built it....Very interesting...
