Old School Musicianship… Rock and Roll.. Jazz… Blues… Big Band even…

Sometimes there just isn't anything like 60's Stones to get me feeling right....

The Rolling Stones - Get Off Of My Cloud

Birthday wishes to Lindsey Buckingham, born this day, October 3, 1949, 74 years young. A better than decent guitarist IMHO who's had a ton of hits on his own and with Fleetwood Mac. I think this song really showcases his playing and singing.

Fleetwood Mac - Go Your Own Way

When Gary Moore released the album "Still Got The Blues", all the guitar freaks like me had to own it. So amazing!!! The searing guitar work is just amazing.

Gary Moore - Still Got The Blues

Amazing bass work on this tune... such a cool vibe. The whole thing is really cool.

Marvin Gaye - What's Going On

Decades ago, when my guitarist friend showed me how to play a few songs, he himself was working out this one. He would tend to run through it a bit every time he picked up a guitar. As a result, I worked on this one too.

I'd rather hear this version....

Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here

We heard from Gary, now lets hear from Gerry. 🥰 🥰 🥰

Since you brought up Gary and Gerry, I want to pivot back to a Gary, who doesn't IMHO get the respect he deserves for his playing, and that's the late Gary Richrath. Just an awesome guitarist, formerly of R.E.O Speedwagon. The albums they did in the 70s with him are the ones I still listen to the most, and I've bought their live album four times (vinyl, cassette, and twice on CD). Great stuff!

R.E.O Speedwagon - Golden Country

OMG!!!! I don't think I've posted anything from Pat Benatar lately!!! What is wrong with me????

I loved her early stuff... so cool!!! Neil's guitar work is excellent and works so well with her vocals.... those two are awesome!!!
