Paul Stanley and the Ovation.......just found that picture, and now I will return to music

.....Def Leppard...."Rocket".....a good live version......with really good dual guitar solos starting at 4 min and 20 seconds......and the nod to Led Zeppelin further on towards the end of the solo's.....plus a nod also to Pete Townsend wind mill guitar playing style

Another one of those songs I love... and I have no idea whatsoever what it's about. 🤣 🤣 🤣

Per the Wikipedia articla on the song:

In the song, Townshend sings about the delusions and drug use of the wealthy and hedonistic. The lyrics describe a party in which people hide from their problems behind a façade. Townshend has introduced the song in live performances with: "This song is about what happens when you take too much white powder; it's called 'Eminence Front'." In an interview, Townshend explained:

"Eminence Front" was written around a chord progression I discovered on my faithful Yamaha E70 organ. I hesitate to try to explain what it was about. It's clearly about the absurdity of drug-fueled grandiosity, but whether I was pointing the finger at myself or at the cocaine dealers of Miami Beach is hard to recall.

This is another big favorite song of mine. Plus, how many songs do you hear nowadays played with a symphony orchestra that also includes a guitar and an organ solo?

Procol Harum - Conquistador

Had an urge to listen to some blues, and some rather racous blues at that. Some Muddy Waters, with some guitar and screams courtesy of Mr. Johnny Winter fits the bill nicely!

Muddy Waters - Mannish Boy

Birthday wishes to Steve Miller, born this day, October 5, 1943, 81 years young. He hasn't recorded in years but it looks like he's out touring according to his web site, so he doesn't appear to be feeling his age.

Steve Miller Band - Threshold / Jet Airliner

One last song since I really need to go to bed. This popped up in my Youtube feed. To me, it's probably the most un-Bob Seger-sounding song he ever did with all the synths in it, but it was the 80s and it was for one of the Beverly Hills Cop movies. As I recall, I think Glenn Frey was supposed to record it but couldn't for some reason so Seger got it. Even still, it's a fun song, one of those you need to crank up and roll down the windows as you're driving along!

Bob Seger - Shakedown

Birthday wishes to Brian Johnson, born this day, October 5, 1947, 77 years young. Of course, best known as the vocalist for AC/DC, filling a big pair of shoes after the death of Bon Scott (no pressure). Lots of great songs to choose from, but I really like this one.

AC/DC - Shoot To Thrill

I thought I'd share, while I'm trying to get myself feeling right again. 🥰 🥰 🥰

Kenny Loggins - I'm Alright (Theme from "Caddyshack")

Birthday wishes to Kevin Cronin, born this day, October 6, 1951, 73 years young. Of course, best known as the longtime lead singer for R.E.O. Speedwagon. Lots of hits to choose from, this one's a nice balance of vocals, guitars and keyboards. That, and it's also a great party song (at least it used to be when I was in college).

R.E.O. Speedwagon - Roll With The Changes
