Old School Musicianship… Rock and Roll.. Jazz… Blues… Big Band even…

I absolutely love this song, and the album it was on, Dreamboat Annie, is one of my all time favorites. Up there with Cosmo's Factory, Dark Side of The Moon, Abby Road... just awesomeness.

Heart - Crazy On You

I've probably spouted off my thoughts on this song before... but I think this particular track is almost perfect. I don't say that lightly. It so good on so many levels. The only thing that isn't perfect is the little guitar solos... they just don't do justice to how powerful the song and particularly this performance is.

Ike & Tina Turner - Proud Mary

We need to hear some crazy, amazing good guitar work. Louis Shelton is the one who did the cool flamingo guitar work on this track. In a video he posted, he said it was mostly played as a joke, and they liked it and used it. I always loved this song, so it was really cool to find all that out, so many years later.

The Monkees - Valleri

Henry Lee Summer to me looks like another three-namer, Richard Dean Anderson (the original MacGyver for you youngin's); must be the hair. Then again, I just wanted to hear the song.

Henry Lee Summer - I Wish I Had a Girl

Here's another one I haven't heard in ages. I really have to reacquaint myself with their catalog, they put out a lot of R&B classics like this one. I love the opening bass-line, it makes me picture someone walking on the sidewalk, maybe after just clocking out for the day on a Friday. I love music that can give me visuals like this!

The O'Jays - Livin' For The Weekend

It brings out the animal in you
Quiet Village by Martin Denny

or

Underwater Instrumental by the Frogmen

and then there's this

THE ROCK -A-TEENS - "WOO HOO" (1959)

I do really like this song... but I'm also wondering if Bonnie will throw up because of it. 🤭🤭🤭🤣🤣🤣🤣

The Partridge Family - I Think I Love You

Eastwood Guitars Breadwinner - White - Vintage Ovation Tribute Model e | Make'n Music

Ok...here we go..The Partridge Family....I remember an episode with David Cassity playing a white guitar that had rather sexy lines(or I thought so).....many many years later.....I learned that it was a Ovation Deacon guitar....popular in the early 70s

Wow.... that is wild! I've never seen one of those before. Cool that you found a pic of one.
