Once more, with feeling.

So I have to ask. Can I be in your fan club and one of WD's blog sluts simultaneously?

I'm not even going to bother saying I wish I were in England (it would be a lie). And, I'd say good luck, but that never works. So how about break a leg, crack a whip, and ask gracie for some chocolate cookies to bait the traps with ;)

'Fraid not. Club policy, I'm told, and I like it.

The thing about me is that I'm fairly unique in that I'm genuinely not ashamed about being a complete FNG (or, for that matter, anything) and, though I say so myself, really fucking awesome; in contrast, I've read his blog and Writer Dom is nothing but another guy in the oceans of people who write masturbatory fantasies but fancy themselves a cut above. So the choice you face is between, to quote the club president, someone who is "known for his sarcastic, dry wit and slightly caustic but good-natured personality. Once he warms up to you, he is a sweet, loyal and affectionate friend and incredibly easy to get along with" or a moron with delusions of grandeur who desperately needs a thesaurus (for there is NO reason for one page to contain ten uses of the word "slutty". Have some fucking variety, man).

I don't normally get all "hah look at me everyone else says i'm awesome here's quotes to prove it", but Writer Dom rather irritates me.

Perfectly understandable response. I asked because I tend to be a people pleaser (great big hairy shock there). I also tend to speak/type whatever just because the thought is in my head. Yeah that gets me in a good deal of trouble on occasion, as I'm sure you can imagine.

And, I don't know who El Presidente is but I completely agree with her (assuming here) attitude on the matter. So I'll bend to the club rules. Much happier to be a fan than a slut any day. :D

It's a lady, yes. The first rule of fan club IS you don't talk about fan club, but the second is no dudes. Not that I'm not flattered, but I don't swing that way I'm afraid (although, on current form, it wouldn't make a difference).

OK I'm slowly falling for the humor. Quote Pitt again (from a good movie at least), and I might just join the ranks that wish they were closer.

I could quote his monologue from Inglourious Basterds, but you did specify a good movie, and then I remembered the line quoting Hemingway in Se7en was said by Morgan Freeman, so I'm afraid I'm out. I had to look him up just to remember what else he'd been in.

Well I must assume Brits have a slightly different taste in movies ;)

I was thinking of one scene in particular from Ocean's Eleven (i think). I could watch him lick the nacho cheese off his fingers many many times.

Summary: blah blah blah i'm ayn rand blah blah blah holy shit i fucking love monologues yadda yadda yadda oh john galt i wish you were real so we could have sweet objectivist sex blah blah blah

That's pretty much all it is.

Thank you for saving me time better spent elsewhere.;)

No doubt he is irritating, but he has an exceptionally fine ass. I try to overlook his shortcomings.

LOL. Nice. This thread is amusing. I clicked on it for two reasons:

(1) One of my favorite episodes of Buffy. Ever.
(2) People are actually replying to it.
(3) It's all about confidence.
The Dominant has confidence it what s/he is doing because s/he knows the Sub and what s/he wants/needs and/or s/he has confidence in the skills s/he has. Really though, it's all about knowing your Sub.
The Submissive has confidence in her/his Master, because s/he has communicated the needs that s/he has to his/her Master. I use the possessive adjective her/his there with good reason - because it should be the Sub who is actually in control, giving feedback constantly to her/his Master so that s/he can keep doing his/her job well.

Well, that's my take on it at least. Still, aura of confidence, man!
Believe you're awesome, know that you're awesome, and be awesome.
BE excellent, so you many DO excellent things, and HAVE excellent experiences/stuff/friends/pets/sex/smiles/flowers/etc ...

How do you BE excellent? That's sooooo another post. If you want to hear it, ask ... it might be fun to write. (Besides, if you're already awesome, I really don't need to write it! Call me lazy, but ....)

Blasphemy!

Not at all my dear. I was merely trying to ascertain if I needed to flip a coin and make a decision. I already knew which direction I would run if forced to choose.

So here I sit, trying to find said episode of Buffy so I can be in the know.

Did this remind anyone else of Bill and Ted?

"Be excellent to each other" *insert air guitar riff*

One small defense of Rand, and what she wrote about in Fountainhead and Atlas:

She was spot-on about how there are a great many people in this world who oppose any form of success, and will actively work to sabotage the happiness of others in order to maintain a state of communal mediocrity.

Now, having said that, she's otherwise got a mess of a junk philosophy. Even as a small-l libertarian, I think objectivism (and a good deal of pie-in-the-sky minarchism) is bunko.

I do wish that we could orient ourselves more (as human societies) toward striving for success and celebrating the accomplishments of others, rather than cynically sniping each other down whenever somebody tries to get ahead.

So by all means, MS, strive on. You seem a good man, from what I've seen of you, and I do believe that the women who wear your collars (or whatever devices you choose to mark you control with) will be some lucky wenches indeed.

Well, I'm awesome but I can always be more awesome (awesomer, if you will). Advise away.

I would like to comment that..if looked at through my eyes, your AV looks to be a bald man with (in my mind) a female's thighs over his shoulders. Could this be?

Alright, that tears it. I'm moving to America. Silly ocean, separating me from all the women who think I'm awesome.

You can crash on my couch until you find your own place.

We'll alternate between manly football watching and nerdy stuff like comic books.

Somehow I think he'd be receiving many more ... ahem ... attractive offers where he to make his way across the pond.

Maybe you could get a boat, and have these women meet you half way.

Then not only would you be that awesome guy they all swoon over, but you'd be that awesome guy they all swoon over... with a boat!

Would I then be...on a boat?
