Once more, with feeling.

The "good on ya" part was for the fact that you are here (lit) and trying. You are one step ahead of all the other up and coming D's. So take a moment and relish all of the other lovelies who think you are adorable/hot/wonderful/smart-yada yada....then be fricken happy okay?

Look, I know exactly how you feel. I am crawling walls already myself and I am twice your age. But what can you do? Go "vanilla"? Get hooked with some nice girl that will never be what you need?
I was married twice to wrong guys and I will be damned if I dont spend the rest of my life satisfied no matter what it takes. Waiting sucks but what else can you do?

I keep saying, you've never seen my ass. If you had, you'd know "yummy" ain't the right word for it.

See, I picture the UK as filled to the brim with kinky people...so sorry you aren't getting responses MrSir. You seem to have a quick wit. Sigh...you are so young and an ocean away ;-)

Ah, it could be worse. I could be dead, I hear that's not fun.

Now, since this is my thread and I can discuss what I damn well please, I'm going to complain about something - namely, a series of books featuring the character Adrian Mole. It's a strictly British thing, but to summarise, the books are his diaries as he grows up from...I want to say 13 3/4, but I can't remember off the top of my head, and his life goes from "fairly rubbish but with bright spots" early on to "unrelenting crushing despair 24/7". Eventually, in the final book he finds happiness and I liked that, it was a nice coda to the series and finally he seems to have a decent life.

I've recently found out the author is writing another book. In it, Adrian's life has gone back to shit - his wife is cheating on him, his daughter dislikes him and he has prostate cancer - and it is bloody depressing that she's brought back a series that should have been allowed to end to squeeze some more cash out of it. It's got the grimmest fucking moral I've seen in any recent series ever, namely "No matter what, life is depressing and you'll all die", so I disapprove and hate it already.

Yup, count me among your older, taken, wrong-side-of-that-damnable-ocean fans. Dude, she's gotta be out there. I agree with Straykat, for what it's worth: I know it bites, but patience, grasshopper.:rose:

Well, it appears this was an exercise doomed to fail from the beginning. I'm surprised this thread is five months old, it's been much longer than I realised, but I'll bump this once more and then just let it die a natural death.

aww you can't quit now...i've been silently stalking this thread since it started...well not since it started, but since i started on here...gah, you know what i mean...i think...damn sunday laggy brain!

You're not allowed to give up, trooper.

At least not until you finish my editing work, you son of a bitch. Quit reading that depressing shit and email me on my more uplifting mental torture and catfight erotica.

When you're done with that, you can follow up by reading John D. MacDonald's Travis McGee series. I won't say it's more uplifting, but at least there's good points mixed in with all the maudlin.

I wrote a bunch of shit in reply to that, but the upshot is: there are no obvious grammatical or punctuation-related mistakes to be seen and, though the direction the story goes is fairly obvious from the second you bring up that there are ten games, that is really not a problem. Start posting it posthaste.

Incidentally, for those of you inclined to going blind, my Fetlife page has a picture of my rather tubby self. Seriously, it is not a good picture but was the only one I had to hand I didn't completely hate and I had to do it then because I never would otherwise.

The thought occurs that I don't really have a choice about whether this thread should live or die because somebody will always bump it before it falls far enough to perish on it's own. Is this the case?

no-one likes to see a nice guy miss out...we can't help you except to keep bumping for you...even when you want to give up...you never know, miss right may just stumble across this and then she can see that other people think you're pretty ok.

I thought I'd met Miss Right already once before, but she turned out to be already engaged and collared. It was a sad day when I found that out.
