OOC: A new superhuman team.

Arc, it would be soo great to have you aboard!

Bunnies, tomboy it is, but would you mind if Elliot would still have obvious feelings for her?

Genoine, having it so her powers spike every now and then will work just fine.

Violodion, perhaps Cliff could have been hiding in the punch bowl? LOL! Whoo, bad joke. Anyway, how about he make his presence known only after everyone has been turned into their superhuman selves? Or while Elliot is activating their powers. Kind of in a "How dare you curse others with your devil's touch" attitude?

ok, got my concept cleared so now i'm posting my guy:

Name: Collin Andrews

Description: 5'10", 200 lbs ( little overweight), brown hair & eyes, no facial hair.

Powers/abilities: Elliots touch greatly heightens Collins intellegence (IQ 300+), and unlocks his powers, which are to make things. He becomes a inventor, creating new devices and materials. Eventually this will evolve into a suit of powered armor that will allow him to play with the big boys, but until then he's agadget man.

I don't have a hero name for him yet because I want to develope that in RP.

Background: In H>S> Collin was mostly a recluse. He was a RPG nerd ( played D&D) & a sci-fi fan, but was alos a decent student. After school he joined up with the Air Force and got into the communications field, where he now works as a phone tech for the city. He never married, & doesn't date much. He spends most of his time on his computer playing games.

Get out of my head, Ravenloft! I'd already considered (briefly) the punch bowl entrance, but Cliff's had time to go beyond that kind of crude party trick. No, Cliff has a more grandiose self-introduction planned, and his own reasons to let Elliot's plan go uninterrupted for awhile...

I bet Cliff will come storming in saying "Look at what that bastard has done to you, come with me, join me, and together, we can do whatever we want! Muahahahah!!!"

"Yes, because we need Puddle-Man as our leader to achieve rulership of the world."

"Hurry, Puddle-Man, rust us into the vault!"

"No, they've used a sponge to disable Puddle-Man! Now what will us more powerful villains do!?"

Ravenloft: Elliot can feel whatever he wants, but after what will happen to Ryan, Ronni will probably be busy babying a fellow freak.

*wanders in, interested*

if it wouldn't offend anyone, I'll post a bio for my character tomorrowish or so and jump in. ^.^ if it DOES offend, or if you all feel it's too late for me to jump, tell me so and no worries.

I guess I should go ahead and post a new bio, seeing as circumstances have changed.

Clifton Sinclair IV
Height: 6' 3" Weight: 240 Eyes: Blue Hair: Black

For the salient details of Cliff's younger years, see previous posts.

After high school graduation, Cliff joined the Olympic swimming team, and managed to set 5 world records on his way to 3 gold medals. Observers at the competition remarked several times how the water seemed to "push him forward", but he never revealed the secret of his speed underwater. His plans to make mounds of cash from endorsements failed, however, due to his abrasive and overbearing personality. He has spent the last couple of years living under the radar, honing his abilities while using them for illegal personal gains.

Upon receiving Elliot's invitation, he called Elliot and persuaded him to reveal his plan to him. He told Elliot that he would be there, but had a prior engagement and would arrive late. In actuality, Cliff arrived at the reunion before Elliot, but has concealed himself (not in the punch bowl) so that he may listen in on the goings-on, and reveal himself at the proper time.

He has dicovered that he has the ability not only to turn himself into "living water", but also to control the movement of water, on a molecular level, to the point of defying gravity. He cannot control the temperature of water under his control, but is himself immune to bodily injury from boiling or freezing while in watery state. He cannot manipulate ice easily, but can move while frozen, although very slowly. He has some difficulty reassembling himself if boiled in a high wind. Likewise, if his "living water" body is dispersed in large amounts of moving water, it takes some time for him to reassemble his molecules. While in watery state, he is also immune to electric shock or physical attacks. He can move, slowly, through porous materials, and can manipulate water contained inside inanimate objects to a limited extent. For some reason, he cannot control water molecules inside living creatures, but can cause minor disruptions to a person's body if "drunk". He does not allow this to happen often, as he finds the sensation unpleasant.

As a side note, Cliff despises the word "puddle" and, although he disdains the use of sponges, he no longer feels threatened by them.

That will make for some nice interpersonal drama, getting the cold shoulder from Roni.

That Roland, next thing you know, he'll do the fish smacking dance.

Tumble, jumping in is fine with me. If you would though, could you make it so your character is from Herroton High, and has yet to gain his/her powers? Just for the sake of meshing with the storyline so far.

Hey Arc Da Rat, you still joining?

Voilodion, damn, you're good. I had a crasy thought, what would happen to cliff if he were somehow boiled away? I was thinking, if he could maintain his conciousness, he would eventually be rained back down. Heheheh.

okay, so my character then ^.^ (if there's issues with it, which there very well may be, dun't be afraid to say so):

Pre-powers:
Name: Melissa Lewis
Gender: female
Height: 5' 2"
Weight: 138
Hair: blondish brown, to mid-shoulder
Eyes: grey-green
Age: 29

In high school she remained basically unnoticed, though people would know her as "that girl who hung around with the wierd kids" if they did. She did hang out with other groups, including the "sci-fi" group on rare occasion. While she wasn't well known, she didn't make any enemies and was considered generally friendly. She graduated just above the middle of the class rank-wise, and went on to work in shows, first just as an usher and only recently being given opprotunities elsewhere within the theater. She's been in a steady relationship since her senior year with a man named Nick who had gone to another high school.

Her power: Once activated, it will take about three days to unfold completely. She will loose a large degree of her humanity and take on a largly anamalistic shape. Solid-color eyes (that maintain her old eye color), a thin down of fur over her whole body, a slight muzzle, sharper teeth, pointed ears like a cat, thicker arms, claws, and legs like the back legs of an animal.
In return for the shape that will make her more powerful, quicker and give her a very basic ability to speak with and understand animals (she can't like, recite shakespear to animals, she can convey and understand the basics), her ability to talk to people will match her ability to speak to animals, only talking in and understanding basics, and she will be prone to rages when provoked.

If you see what Greg is like in his current state think kind of like Invisible Woman in the Fantastic Four movie (running around in just clothes without seeing the body in them).

Lily (aka Wraith)

Hi, i would love to join your club,
As i, myself, am an infrequent user, i think that this would suit me perfectly.
Here's some background, oh an re the pm i sent Ravenloft, yes, i definately think that i should come in on the reunion, makes it so much easier, my thanks to you.
Ok here's my bio,

Name: Lily Cooper, aka Shadow
Age: indeterminate, maybe 25
Sex: Female
Height: 5"5
Weight: 120lbs
EC: green
HC:midnight black
HL:waist length

Power: Elemental, she can manipulate the elements, but only if there is something there, ie to use fire, there must be a flame nearby.
Weaknesses: her powers wane and grow depending on the cycle of the moon. Full moon - most powerful

History: Shadow attended Elliot's highschool, but she dropped out soon afterwards, she never graduated. While there though, she had developed a crush on Elliot, but, not being the academic he so obviously was, she had been terrified to even speak to him.
A day before she left, Elliot bumped into her in the cafetaria, since then strange things have happened to her. She knows that Elliot had something to do with her transformation, but she doesn't know what. She tracked him down some years later and now finds him holding a private reunion...

Let me know if this is ok for everyone,
Question: Do i just jump in or do i wait for approval on this link? Just wondering.

Welcome aboard, Wolf & Tumble.

Post your entrance onto the scene at the reunion soon as you can, just take into acount the situation your characters walk into.

Go talk to my chick. She won't ignore you. ;)
I had to post my own little snit when my first message was skipped too. I don't think it was deliberate on the part of anyone, of course I don't know people here yet, but still...

Hey there, I’m saying the following in the most loving and affectionate of ways, okay?

It’s been three weeks and almost no one is convinced of anything, only a couple of people have their powers at this point, a couple have just showed up, and the plot’s mostly centered around lots of arguing.
What can we do to get the ball rolling a little faster?
How do we convince these rightly skeptical characters to shut the hell up and signed the damned forms so that we can get to it?

And to soften all of that, here: :rose: :rose: :nana: :rose: :rose: :nana: :rose: :rose: please don't hate me

...Yes, well, I'm sorry if it's taking too long for you.

However, I'm certainly not going to rush things. My character will continue to act as I created him to act. I, personally, find things like this add depth to stories.

You're right, sometimes they can. However, sometimes they're also a recipe for waning interest as a plot becomes bogged down by details. It's only fun for the characters that’re having the drama after all, and rpgs are supposed to be about the active involvement of everyone. :) There are a handful of talented writers involved in this game; I’m eager to see what they can do once we get past the bickering and negativity.
While fine with details myself, I also like to see movement and unfortunately so far there hasn't been much of that. And, we’ve already lost one player who was overlooked out of two, which is never a good sign.

Okay, maybe it'd be best to ignore my last couple of posts.
Criticism is rarely accepted well, even if it is meant to be friendly and constructive.
I think perhaps my day's affecting my posts.
Eh, being human sucks sometimes.

Hey, please don't take this the wrong way, but I like any interactions - especially when there is personality conflict.

It isn't so much the direction you go but the amount of reaction you can generate!

OK so brainstorming here-
How do we get Veronica to calm down and come back to the party? I think Ike and Ryan have some talking to do with Catrina ... And then Ike needs to find Elliot for her turn at Mutant roulette...

I'm sorry, I didn't even realize the main thread had started. I'll post an intro as soon as I can.
