OOC: Armageddon Gospel: Kingdom Come

Well I would play god but now I have Celst. I think were out of luck on that possibility. Unless.... no that wouldn't work.

lol...Don't worry about not being challenged, I've got some critters up my sleeves (and...imbedded in the pages of my notebooks) that would take a small army to bring down.

Which is good, because it appears we have a small army on our hands.

lol...arright Jacobo.

I think you'll approve of the general "getting-underway-ness" of the last two A.G. posts.

Also arc as it turned out I read his chara but forgot I did. On this site you seem to be able to do that alot.

Also worse comes to worse we end up forming more then one group. One takes the human side the other takes the angel side and we duke it out.... or something along those lines. As every should know there is no threat greater then another player.

ok, i'm gonna introduce wraith here in a bit. ( getting caffene & sugar in the bloodstream right now)
changes are as follows:
He was born on this world, 100 years ago during a total eclipse.
His powers work in darkness only except for the immortality & increased dexterity & strength, plus darksight.
anyway, once I find out if its daylight or Night

Well Abraxas, unfortunately it's dawn right about now. However, this gives you the opprotunity to introduce your character without exposing him for what he really is.

Note the caves however. That should be dark enough for those who like the shadows. For those who don't, there's a smattering of ghost towns nearby...if you want to travel the pass.

If you don't wanna head outta sight of the tavern, you can always poke around the graveyard to see what those lil' monkeys have been up to, or you can go over to the junkyard outside of town to beat up on some of the weaker skinwalkers.

But the obscenely powerful might want to make a run for the mines. Just a suggestion.

It's gon' be fun in there.

ok, thats what I needed to know. 12 hours until i get into whup-ass mode.

ok, if i can get a coherent thought going in my head i'm gonna post.

Um, dose this sound like a vidoe game to any one else? You got the area we are more or less supose to go and then we got places to go and level up. Hmmm, prehaps NES has ruind my brain.

Well, Glenn's probably going to try and organize some sort of campaign to attack key spots where the skinwalkers visit -- helping the villagers is really only his secondary goal (his primary goal being finding out if the enemy is an absorbable spirit), but despite his really depressing and hard-to-understand attitude, he's a bit of a softie.

lol...good point cats.

Well, since we've got too many characters to make a single party any fun, I need to have enough flexibility to the story so that it can get pushed in lots of directions. Also there have to be areas of differing challenges in order to accomodate our slighly over-powered. I also had to give everyone a reason for staying...absorbable spirits, a dimensional portal to another world, a way to get back into heavens or hell's good graces and...well, trapping everyone here didn't hurt.

I appreciate it, Wyld. I noticed the possibility of absorbable spirits -- gave me a good excuse to jump in. ^_^

Man... I need to think hard about my character though. He seems a lot like most of my characters right about now. I'm too nihilistic in nature, maybe. :p

lol...you think you're nihilistic. All Caleb wants is to get killed.

Bahah, check out the "From Peasants to Kings" thread. I play the villain there. He wants to destroy the entire physical plane cuz he thinks it's a joke. ^_^

He's actually a fairly human villain, if I may say so myself.

And the storyline is damn good, if you check out the OOC where we're planning it.

Uh, anyway, enough pulling, let's preach some Gospel!

(say, that's not a bad tagline)

Well You do have several valueble points, but still it makes it seem more like roleplaying. Granted that is the purpose of thise portion of the site and all but most of the threads tend to be story driven a read more like a book almost.

Um... can we kill the bartender now?

Warning: Ab's Kick-Ass mode means brainstorming & pestering me when he gets up ... *looks at the clock* ... In about 4 Hours or so ...

a character idea..

Name: Dayne
Sex: Male
Occupation: Black Hand
Appearance: short to-the-point Pitch Black hair, and deep green eyes, average height. Average build.
Dayne leaves nothing to excess, he keeps it simple. Wearing lightweight leather, and soft shoes, he travels quickly, and silently. Both being requirements of his seedy occupation. He carries a large dagger, carried in a sheathe attached to his back at hip level, the hilt aligned out and down for quick access. He also carries darts, which he can apply poison to.

Dayne is a killer because he's good at it, and for no other reason. He doesn't enjoy killing, but he's grown close to death, and because it's so familiar he sticks to it. He's generally quiet, letting his actions speak for him.

Dayne is not strong, in the traditional sense, his body is trimmed but not tone. His hands and fingers are well defined, a salute to his great dexterity, other than that, his body isn't remarkable in any way.

As a Black Hand he has the ability to dissapear into his surroundings, becoming "invisible", although some may mistake this fade to black ability to be magical, it is not.

A sort of "enhanced blow" Dayne's ability to focus into his task of attacking. Because Dayne neither enjoys or dislikes killing -- he's simply good at it -- he is able to remove all emotion or doubt from himself as he attacks, entering into a fighting trance similar to "satori", a buddhist term meaning the way one feels when in the middle of an important action and one's mind instantly becomes blank. Because Dayne can call on this ability at will due to his strong focus and lack of outward expression, his strength, speed, and accuracy in hand-to-hand combat are nearly twice as powerful as his frame and skill would imply.

I'm hoping that this character will be suitable, and that I'll be able to jump in. Jacobo and I have been talking about how I could play him and how we could bring him into the storyline. We've got a pretty good idea of what we'll do.

So, if you could take a look over Dayne and let me know what you think, it'd be greatly appreciated. :)

Thanks
-CB

Hey, I like the Dayne character. Slide him in whenever. I'll be expanding the game world from this sleepy little prarie to encapsulate more of the chaos going on unseen around the edges. So don't feel that you have to try and give your char a reason for being in this little backwater. I just started the thread there to keep it intimate in case there wasn't much interest.

But...I can bleed stuff from the whole novel into this if I want, so don't feel shy about striking off in a different direction. I can manage my character (who's already developed anyway...in my mind) while turning this little world on it's axis. I've got some experience GMing, so don't think that if you don't follow me, you don't get a good game. We haven't even scratched the surface yet.

CB and I have a fairly good plan for letting Dayne enter fairly quickly.

We worked hard trying to make Dayne's class different from Xian's class... hopefully the distinction between Dayne being a power front-line unit and Xian being a mid-to-long range fighter with her magic weapon will help distinguish them as fufilling seperate roles, despite their similar occupations. :)
