I fear I'm at a bit of a block here.. should I abandon Monolith? Or move on? at the moment the only person she can interact with is Mark. Any suggestions would be helpful.

Glad you posted Abraxas, and now Niki can interact with you. As for the sand duplicates ... it's a cool idea. But it's not Monolith's power as you originally described him. He's supposed to be a big strong tough guy. He's developed the power to meld with the earth, and to create earthquakes, but so far the earthquake power has been mostly out of his control. Creating duplicates that he can control ... it's just a completely different power.
I don't want players inventing new powers because I want to see you being creative with the powers you have. You can write your way out of any problem by creating new superpowers, but that's too easy, and means that I can't effectively design challenges for you. If your powers as we agreed on them can't get you out of a situation, then maybe you fail. Characters failing is cool.
So, Monolith could escape the aircars by melding into the earth (using an established power), or just by staying on the ground in the jungle cover (using his skills and environment, without relying on his powers). If you want to create a distraction, use your great strength or earthquake power, instead of inventing new powers.
So ... cool idea, but I'd appreciate if you'd edit your post. Thanks!

will do. It was just an earth control idea I had that I thought would be cool. ( I have a Champions powers book & I pull it out every now & then to get ideas for character growth. It's a great resource, with all the powers broken down with their control bases , ie: Earth Powers, Strength powers, etc)

Cool, thanks Abraxas. It was a cool idea. I just like to keep consistency so we all know what the characters are cabaple of. The power level has already escalated so far from the street-level original concept of the thread.
Screech, maybe Nia spotted you following her, or maybe you both spotted someone else following her. When you see her leave the bar and walk off alone, did you follow her on foot, in the car, or with your jump pack?
If that isn't Sparks following Nia, I know who it is. Play it either way.

Welcome Optimus, always open to new characters! Check out the first post of this OOC thread, and the plot summary I posted here . The action right now is in Argopolis, Amun, or in the swamp south of Bridges, so it'll be easiest to work in a character in one of those places. But we can probably work with whatever you come up with.

Read the OOC last *laughs* Do you mind that she is working on voice control? not really a power and she can't truly mind control anyone, more like speaking with a suggestion underlying it. Sort of ties in with her mind abilities. IF not I will change it

Nikki using telepathy to enhance a spoken suggestion feels like an application of her existing power, rather than a new one. But yeah, it won't be mind control, especially not against someone like Monolith, who has an unusually strong will and trained under the monks of Tai-Pal. It sould at least convince him to hear Nikki out, and make her speech exceptionally convincing, but after that, it is up to roleplaying. What will she say to him? What does she want?

Jake Sparks - AKA Dark Matter
Jake Sparks - has amnesia - he is not sure how he got the powers that he has. A loner who travels where he wants to and helps people on a whim. He is fiercly loyal to people who he befriends ,but is very suspicious at first. He has great strength during the day, but his powers are formidable during the night. His body sucks dark matter out of the air around him which transforms him into a dark beast with super human speed and strength. (Like a werewolf) But he has limited shape changing abilities at night - he is able to transmute himself and change his limbs into weapons. As he progresses through his arc he will slowly be able to tap into the worlds dark matter and sense certain things over the world.
Something along these lines? if this sound ok then i will put in a bio for what he looks like, if it is not what your lookning for then i will think of another one.

Hey Optimas. I like the idea of a character who changes shape between night and day. We haven't had one of those yet. However, Dark Matter sounds a little too powerful, and too much like some already existing characters.
Monolith, Crusher, Leos, and Fenris are already 4 player characters with great strength. Fenris is even a werewolf-like monster with speed and strength. who produces a blade from his arm. So I'd rather see some other type of power other than monstrous strength. I like the shape-changing idea. What sort of weapons would you want to turn your hands into? What if they could turn into other things?
I'd also like to stay mostly at street-level, meaning that the characters should still be affraid of soldiers with guns.
I like the idea of him transforming at night, but I'm confused by the Dark Matter. What is dark matter, to you? I'm thinking of invisible masses in space. I don't think there's any dark matter on earth. What if your character absorbs matter to transform (disintegrating part of the ground, or nearby objects), or absorbs light (creating darkness), or darkness (creating light)? I'm just not sure what sucking dark matter out of the air means, unless it's just descriptive.
Also, even if you're an amnesiac, we at least have to know how old is he, and what race. It's better to know something about who he was before he was transformed. Where he lived, did he have a job, a family, what kind of skills? Then think however he was exposed to Loa Blood (just call it an industrial accident, happens all the time), what was he thinking at that moment.
What one superpower or mutation could come out of that one thought?
And lastly, there's already a player character named Sparks.

hmm you know I'm not really sure what Nikki wants with Monolith, one thing she doesn't want any of the other organizations to control his power. Yet she doesn't really have much use for it at this time.. hmm I shall have to think on this.. any ideas?

She could send him back to Bridges, as a distraction for Hass, or to Sejeala, to break up the Cold Blood headquarters. She could use him to create a diversion for the Argon police and military, giving the Killer Bees a chance to make some really big moves. She could send him to attack the Bees' enemies at sea, the Locrian navy, Cold Blood pirates, and sea monsters who make shipping so dangerous. Or to destroy Coda, making Argo more dependent on Aralian technology. But is more power for the Bees really what she wants?
She could help Monolith find the Crusher, join forces with him to help fight to make the world better and safer. Help him fight the tyranical governments of Amun or Locrir. She could just help him escape from the Argon military, so that he could go free into the world, and owe her a favor. Nikki remembers what it was like to be wanted, and she could help Monolith to disappear as she did.

He thinks the increase in power at night is down to his dark feeelings he used to get. Sometimes he worries if he can stay good during the night as he becomes more agressive almost a different person, however his friends are always his friends. As he progresses through his arc he will slowly be able to tap into matter and sense certain things that have happened on or near the matter.
He is tall dark, and wears a dark long jacket he is around 25 years old and about 6feet tall. (can add or change this to fit in keep giving me feedback and im sure i will get something good.)

I like the idea of her just helping him escape and him oweing her a favor in the long run. In truth she really just doesn't want him on the opposing force, other then that she doesn't really care what he does. She tends to be a bit laid back with the bees unless you crossed them or were an obstacle she lets people do their own thing.

You can absorb matter that you touch, and then shape-shift your limbs into weapons, using the materials that you've absorbed. So its easy to make claws or blades, but if you want to make a gun, you need to absorb some metal to make bullets out of (or whatever), and if you wanted to make a flamethrower or something, you'd need to absorb the appropriate chemicals and fuels.
Your shape-shifting works only at night. You can't change size, or change your whole body into something else (like a lion or a sofa). You can change your features to disguise them.
If you were raised in the wilderness, I suggest you are Amun, and live in the desert of kangaroos and snakes. You would wander between tiny villages, helping people, avoiding the big cities on the coasts. The accident or experiment that gave you your powers would have been caused by the Pyramid. You'd be in a good spot to meet Fenris and Valous in the desert.

hair - Dark, long
skin - Tanned, at night his skin turns black like night till he changes his outward appearance.
Build - Tall 6' tall, toned
power - Matter absorption - and the ability to utilise the matter how he sees fit from his hands. Be that blades claws etc, or by getting the right ingredients and making projectile weapons like guns etc. He has never tried to absorb living matter as he is not sure of the outcome.
Possessions - very limited, he has a dark long jacket with a inner lining of burgundy. He has no weapons or such like as he uses matter to throw matter spikes and spears etc.

She was a intellegent thief who used her charms to complete her thefts. When she saw Jonny Magna walk into the village she knew she could use him, very quickly she got him to help her steel some barrels from the great pyramid - but it all went wrong.
A barrel spills open and covers her, Jonny dashes to her, but she has already become unstable. When Jonny touches the slime he also becomes unstable, and then something Jonny doesn't understand happens. The two of them gained fusion powers, and they both happened to work at the same time. She was absorbed into Jonny's body. Jonny colapsed and woke up a day later, with no idea what had happened and holes in his memory.
At night she takes over, and that is why Jonny does things he wouldn't do during the day, and has more power at night. Naturally this event hapened outside where only the two of them were around, so no one witnessed the event to explain it to him. Both parties are currently unaware about the sitiuation.
