Photography: Post your photos here

I have noticed that many of you don't shy to post their naked pictures but here is mine and I hope you like me.:)

I was so nervous to post new pics that i have post them on the wrong thread. So please be nice with me. I repeat myself... As many of you asked me to post some other pictures of mine and the fact that almost all of you are treating me well and being nice with me i have decided to please your request. By the way to make those pics . :):):)Be nice again please

Here in my part of the UK, April was almost warm. It's had a result on one of my roses:-

Photography novice here, I was wondering if someone could tell me what it is about a camera that makes some photos so sharp, clear and precise. It's apparent in professional and high-quality photos, but what is it....?
The two photos are just recent examples from above.

Thanks :)

Hmm since the bottom one is my photo I guess I will take a stab at your question.
I have always preferred Nikons and Carl Ziess lenses. To me they always produced a
sharper image. As for the camera settings I take many shots of the same image with different
exposures,on a tipod, using a remote to avoid shutter shake, and error on my end. I prefer Longer
exposures with a small aperture (22,32 etc..( gives you more depth of field and more detail overall.
As for ISO I try to use 125 even less is better, it means longer exposure and less noise.
You can use photoshop to combine more than one picture to get the best of each shot.
I like photomatrix for fun stuff. A real good macro lens for close up is a good thing.
Sorry so wordy It has always been trial and error on my part and now with digtial
I can take tons of pics and view right then and adjust as I want or kill them off.
Photography is just a hobby for me. There are others here who are professionals who may
answer better. here is my flicker page with different pics. I have been meaning to redo
the night bridge shot, They have added a few more lights.

i agree that the type of camera and lense plays a big role - there are people that say it is the photographer that makes the picture, not the camera - but that is only partly true. With a bad camera, certain pictures just aren't possible (though of course, someone who has no idea what they are doing might not be able to take them even with the best camera).

I must admit I rarely use my tripod, as I usually forget it when I need it, and in some of my photos that definitely shows. i sometimes have the iso to high because of that too, though i must admit, i sometimes like noisy pictures depending on what feeling i want to create with them.

i always edit my pictures in GIMP or a similar program - that also plays a part in it. Adjusting the levels and all that can make them seem sharper (because they get brighter).

beautiful! i wish i had a landscape like that in easy reach. i might not spend all day in front of the computer then... comes across really nice in black and white too!
