Question for women: Orgasms without touching the clit

I do not see the logic in disagreeing that we should take into consideration the feelings of the readers who may be having difficulty reaching orgasm "normally"....

But hey, whatever floats YOUR boat.

ETA: You do realize that I just AGREED with you, right? In the post I made before this one? I don't know if you misread me or...what...but I think we have some serious miscommunication going here.

Yes I realize that you agreed with part of what I said. It's the let's temper our posts that I'm taking issue with. My point is that the posts have already been tempered so much that they give the impression that there are no (or very few) women who can orgasm just fine. I'd just like to see a bit more balance.

Yeah, I always worry about balanced information. Why do you think I always post on threads about cheating or whatever? Seriously, people should just share their experiences whenever they feel comfortable instead of avoiding discussions where you might be the minority. We're supposed to be the free speech forum, not the social desirability bias forum.

Oh, and Ms Satin, I know you're only trying to help people, but some of your "tempering" does read as incredibly biased to the point you're misleading people. Sure, if 3 people get killed in a car crash on road X and 0 did last year, we could say that car crash deaths tripled this year, but that doesn't make it any less misleading. ;) You're a very sweet and smart woman, but you could do a better job of being supportive without trying to sway the facts toward whoever you're trying to help. :D

I don't agree with you in the least fin, but when is that ever new news.

I've made it quite clear in my posts in this thread that women can have orgasms other than clitoral ones. Several times. How is that misleading? I'm sure you'll come up with something to say, as usual.

Free speech is one thing to be admired, but the last thing I want to impress is that women who have a difficulty reaching ANY kind of orgasm are inferior to women who have an easier time and can have easy orgasms from different types of stimulation. I appreciate free speech as much as the next regular jane, but my own difficulty reaching orgasm in my youth made me VERY aware of what it was like to feel like I was "broken".

I think there's also been a bit of semantic confusion here. The point in question is whether it is commonplace for women to have orgasms that aren't clitoral, not whether it is normal or not.

Yes, that's very true FB.

According to websites about orgasm on the internet, my own personal experience, and other women and men who I've spoken to, clitoral orgasms are the most common, whether they're 'normal' or not.

Forebrain a good distinction. I dislike the use of the word normal any ways. What is normal after all?

The original question though was about neither of those. It was is any one able to have an orgasm without clitoris stimulation. As usual the thread has been morphed/hijacked a bit from there.

My SO does, from nipple play. Definitely a different "type" of orgasm..softer, it seems, but definitely a lovely one!

I actually didn't even mean this thread in particular. It was just a general statement. :D

Now, as for women's orgasms in particular, I certainly wouldn't want anyone to feel "broken," either. There's nothing particularly wrong with women that orgasm from any particular type of stimulation or even currently, none at all. It is good to know that it's potentially possible to orgasm from nipple, clit, anal, vaginal, or even entirely mental stimulation. None of them will probably happen every time, but it would be useful for said woman to just enjoy her whole body and just let the orgasms happen if they're going to. It doesn't have to be some kind of race to experience everything all at once. It would also be useful to know that some women do orgasm quite easily from one or more ways and if she just relaxes and enjoys, her body may currently or at some point in the future, orgasm easily from them as well. It would also be helpful if we had women of varied experiences sharing their stories, rather than just ones that fit certain criteria. Afterall, it's ideal to cover the entire spectrum of experiences as well as possible. It's not like we want women to be uninformed and feeling guilty over having nonclitoral orgasms should the opportunity come up, though. Women have had surgeries, cut off their sex lives, and all kinds of stupid shit because they thought they were going to piss themselves. Hell, when I had my first orgasm, I thought I pissed myself, too, and I'm a guy. :D

Seriously, it might look like I'm just trying to pee in your Wheaties, but I'm not. If I'm stepping in and challenging something, I have a reason and, no, it's not just to harass you. :p Of course, it's a good thing to not agree on everything, since different perspectives are easily worth discussing.

I can orgasm through having my nipples played with (I have to be really horny and it can take a while), anal sex, and a couple of times due to dreams.

When I was younger I had a number of fake orgasms, although those may not count since they involved clitoral stimulation. :D

Are you able to have an orgasm without stimulation of the clitoris? How does a vaginal orgasm differ from a clitoral orgasm? What parts of your body (internal or external) do you like to be touched just prior to orgasm? Which sexual positions are preferred for this?

I need clitorial stimulation to orgasm.

Whaaaa..? I know the feeling of thinking you need to go, but surgery?

Hell, when I had my first orgasm, I thought I pissed myself, too, and I'm a guy. :D
Bahahahahaha!! :D

Oh, I forgot dreams! A couple of times I've dreamt of either masturbating or having sex, and I'm sure in real life I have an orgasm. I'm pretty sure I'm not touching myself in my sleep...

What is a 'fake' orgasm? I'm assuming, given the context, you don't mean, you pretended to have one

Yes, there have been women that have had surgeries to tighten their pelvic floor, thinking that they were going to piss themselves, not knowing there was such a thing as a g-spot orgasm. :D

Oh, and I have a feeling, the "fake orgasm" thing is a smartass remark about getting off on rubbing her clit. ;)

This is about as common as a man being able to orgasm without someone touching his penis. So, as you can see, it's not very common at all.

Usually, from what I've seen on this website and on other sites over the intertubez, women that are able to reach orgasm without direct clitoral stimulation usually have what's known as a "G-spot" orgasm and this is due to stimulating a spongy mass inside the upper wall of the vaginal canal about 2-3 inches in. Doing this manually is much easier than with a penis, due to the fact that penises don't curve as much as a finger can.

It is very possibly satindesire, for a male to cum "Hands Free"...take a look

Hands Free

The next one is called Cumming with No Hands..."I am on my bed, laying on my back, and I am grinding on a dildo that is pressed up against a case for leverage. I was going to make the clip shorter, but I decided to include the buildup to the orgasm. Basically, at about the 3:30 mark I start feeling the waves, and I continue to have a prolonged series of orgasms that last about 6 min. I had a bunch of these that night, and ended up waking up the next day and having a few more! It is almost unbearable it feels so good, and my cock keeps contracting and contracting when those waves hit as you can see. I feel so lucky to have discovered this ability- there is nothing like the feeling of a deep, prolonged anal orgasm. I wonder if this is how girls feel when they get fucked and have multiple orgasms?"

So see it's possible for a guy to do the same............

I dont think i've ever experienced a 'g-spot' orgasm. I even went through and printed off the instructions here on this site and begged for my husband to try it. He was dead set against it at first, and weeks later i was able to get him to try it finally. gave up after 5 mins. Im jealous of all you who have had them, i wonder if i can do it to myself????? lol

that is SO not right.
I don't know what to say that will not a) sound like I'm attacking your husband or b) sound like I'm making a cheezy come-on.
But a) yer hubby needs some work and b) I'd love to help you out with this. ;)

Female orgasms are a complex science, if indeed they are a science at all. They're also highly subjective and one woman's orgasm is another's mere tremor.

What I'm trying to say is that if a woman knows she can orgasm through having her clitoris touched then she probably knows her body better than anyone else, and you may as well indulge her. Don't patronise her by telling her about the existence of other elusive orgasms because she probably feels bothered enough that a traditional one takes quite the effort. When you have mastered those for her...then, you can explore other things.

So very true.
The best thing all around is to explore your lover's body, and listen for the little moans and squeals that tell you yer doing something good.

Yes, I know it's possible. I never said it was IMPOSSIBLE, did I?

Nope!

I said it was unlikely. And it is.

Question on female clitoral orgasm

Was wondering if anyone knows of a position where the woman is stimulated by a cock on her clit while having intercourse? When I fuck my girlfriend missionary style my cock isn't touching her clit. Is there a position that works?

If you're concerned that she's not getting enough stimulation on her clitoris during intercourse, why don't one of you two use one of your hands to stimulate it during sex? It'd be much easier for her to reach orgasm if she's touching herself.

that's actually one of my preferred positions. however, if you absolutely want a position that doesn't require the hands-on approach, there's always CAT.

We do - but she says she wants to achieve orgasm by cock-to-clit stimulation. Is this possible? and if so, what do I need to do?

Yeah, but "good girls" don't play with themselves, since they know their privates are only for peeing and babies. :D It's only dirty, bad girls like the ones on lit that would ever want something as evil as an orgasm or touch their little, miniature cock like a guy.

Oh, it's possible. There are just far better things to stimulate a clit than your dick. Fingers, vibrators, tongues, pillows, etc. are all better friends for it. Also, vaginas just aren't sexually sensitive. Other than the G-spot, there's really not much feeling at all once you actually get inside the vagina. Now, her vulva ( the lips, clit, and the pink area between her lips) is very sensitive and the clitoris is a miniature version of your cock. To be blunt, men and women develop from the exact same framework and possess exactly the same body parts other than ones with no purpose beyond reproduction. Women don't have vas deferens and men don't have oviducts, a uterus, or a vagina. Male and female privates just look a bit different because women have to pop babies out of their shit and guys have to knock them up for that to happen. ;)

I didn't read the entire thread, but it seems like this is a pretty "heated" discussion! I'm gonna throw my 2 cents in and claim new-comer naivety when it makes someone angry. ;)

Clitoral orgasms are what I give myself. They're nice, quick, and fairly clean. I get that euphoric feeling for approx. 45 seconds afterwards and mostly do this because I'm bored. No one else has ever made me climax from purely clitoral stimulation. I like oral, but if there isn't at least one skilled finger involved I'm not going to get off.
Vaginal or G-spot orgasms are what I expect from sex. I'm good at sex and can't remember the last time I had sex without one of these; the norm is 3-4 a session. These are intense and make my brain turn to putty. My body feels good after each of these but I still "recover" within a couple min.
Anal orgasms are a complete body melter. I wouldn't say they're better than vaginal, but totally different. They take longer, and a more skilled partner (I haven't ever given myself one) and aren't a "sure thing".

Whew!
