Rambling Rosie's Retreat

A little and often! It takes longer to get fit as we get older so don't beast yourself. I should send my character Vicki, from Goalpost, over to see you - she's a physio.
Yes I've been doing slow and steady. I might actually need to check in with a real physio though as the arthritis in my knee is causing a few problems and I want to make sure I'm not accidentally making it worse.

I do keep meaning to read your stories - I just have no concentration lately

I've got a question for the women folk. I was watching a film in which a young woman hugs her boyfriend... or was it her Dad when she was a child?... It seemed like the editing was intentionally ambiguous. This isn't the first time the thought has popped: is there an emotional similarity of hugging your Dad when you hug your bf/SO?
( I don't mean in a sexual way AT ALL. )

Not for me.

My dad knows me in ways my SO doesn't. He's been a provider, my biggest fan, since childhood.

My SO had known my in ways my Dad can't possibly know me. I share things I'd never share with a parent.

So, these emotions never mix.
(Even as someone who loves DD/lg, these emotions and attachments are not similar.)

That's true - the emotions go beyond the hug itself

I have a dad and a step dad and neither are huggers but I guess maybe it's the feeling of having someone there that you know will care for you and keep you safe?

:rose:
I like hugs provided they're with my permission, otherwise I react by freezing like stone.
As for my question - it's probably such a niche thought that it's something people generally don't give consideration.

Well, the weather appeared to be cancelled today, so I confess I haven't been outside. It didn't deserve me.

Evening
I was meant to go to the gym today with my son but I was colder than expected and it makes his legs hurt so we just stayed home and watched some Disney/Pixar films.
I will have to make myself go tomorrow and try and burn off the amazing lasagna I made for tea today

Hone? The idea is that you do the exercise and not have him do it for you.
Nice try though

I just thought I'd pop in and treat everyone to a view of my smiling face. 😜

How are you doing, Mrs?
It's very much appreciated 😁

Yeah I'm doing ok. Trying to sort myself out. Gym sessions and slow house decluttering and coursework. Just referred for some more therapy too.

I'd much prefer a Fairy Godmother to just Bibbety Bobbety Boo all that shit for me but I guess the journey is part of the reward or some such nonsense 🤣

Therapy always helps. Well. I ended up doing some therapy once and poured my heart and soul out but then realised I was looking in a mirror and bored my reflection to sleep. Seriously, I hope it helps you!

If you find the Fairy Godmother, can you tell her to do the same sort of stuff for me? I don't pay £50 a month in fairy dust for nothing y'know!

Not sure I should admit this haha but I have actually sat in front of a mirror before and talked my problems out like I was having therapy.
It actually helped a little to just verbalise some stuff.

Ah you must be on the basic subscription. You need to be paying at least £100 to be eligible for home visits

Well if it helped a little bit then I'd say all good! Crack on!

I'm gonna have to start charging my subscribers more on my OnlyDonkeys page.
