It´s a classic of the American military comedies, heck it reminds me of some of the old Danish classic military films. Where there is a crazy sarge, and other fun stuff. And it is alot better than Private Benjamin.

I know a little about the old fifties war movies and a few modern but not Private Benjamin or Stripes. I think it was considered risque when it came out and I was too young to see it.

Naaah, you were only eight years old. The movie is made in 1984. And I have a thing for movies with fun actors John Candy is one of them, Bill Murray Bill Murray is perhaps more known for his role in Ghostbusters, and John Candy has made quite a few of those fun roles, in other movies. But one of them, is Cool Runnings, and I liked that movie If I remember right, then he died some eyars afterwards while he was making another movie. And how did you know the old Danish fun military films were made in the 50´s 60´s area , and abit later ?

Wolfie, yeah. There was a movie I watched with my grandfather once - The Enemy Below - I think that's the title. WW2 movie where a Nazi sub was trying to outrun a US ship. Pretty awesome!
