Reading Books For Pleasure

Hey thanks FurryFury and Nymphomaniacal for all of the new suggestions.
I have read the Mercy Thompson series and I like it. I just finished the last one Bone Crossed.
I too lost my taste for Steven King, Quite a while ago when I figured out that his books would depress me for days. Who needs outside help in getting depressed?

Seriously. No one needs help getting depressed!

I am so missing the characters from my last book!

:rose:

I know when I read a book and get so involved with the characters that I miss them after the book is done, that it was a good read and a great author. Those are the best though.
Pardon my inarticulateness today

I've put the only other book about those characters on hold.

Meanwhile I've started another book.

:rose:

I've just finished reading My Fishnet Fetish by Sahara kelly which was a fun, entertained quick read. Now reading Anthony and Cleopatra by Colleen McCullough

I've just finished reading 'Phantom of the Opera' (not for the first time), and it never fails to totally immerse me in the plot. I always need some time to sit in silence in a dark room after I've finished it and let my mind go blank; I have no idea why this helps (my theory is it's my subconscious processing everything lol).

Personally I think the book has a much better plot than the musical (although the music is brilliant, it suffers a lot from the lack of the Persian), but that's just my opinion *shrugs*.

I have no idea what I'll be reading next (probably nothing fiction-y as I haven't got a lot of time at the mo :( ), so any suggestions for a few months time anyone? lol

Renegade's Magic by Robin Hobb, was it here that someone said they didn't like the ending?

Let's talk if it was. I just finished it today.

:rose:

Im pissed with Raven Hart now.
She ended the Vampire's Revenge midstory.
If there isnt another book coming im crying.

I read this line today and I had to post it here because only a certain few who took part in the book read a few months ago will understand it and appreciate it:D

"I think about her sometimes", he said softly.
"About Gretchen Lowell", Rosenburg said.
Archie looked up. "I fantasize about fucking her", he said.

*bites lip* I'm sorry but that was the hottest, weirdest thing I've read in a while.

I bought a book that I usually would not just to have something else to read..

When The Heart Cries by Cindy Woodsmall...

Scroll down and you can read about the book there..

Yep, that was hot for me too. I really enjoyed those books, the first one more than the second one.

:rose:

I don't believe I've ever read any Terry Goodking. I may have tried but I don't don't think I did.

I'm glad you are having fun with it!

:rose:

Interesting. I read Plain Truth by Jodi Picoult. It is set, mostly, in an Amish society.

:rose:

There is a couple Amish places in and around my area and I have always been fascinated by them..This book is good after the first chapter..I wanted to do some different reading then what I usually do! :rose:
