Republican Health Policy

Hell to the no. Vette brought it, it was his job to read, understand and explain it to the rest of the class. We would then check his work if necessary or take his word for it.

...guys this is the exact reason that I have to take a test on Obamacare. "Oh I don't have to read that, the tax guy will explain the penalty to me".

*pouts in an excessively cute manner like a small puppy who was disappointed in some way*

THE MAJORITY OF AMERICANS DID NOT WANT OBAMACARE. Get it now?

While even that's debatable lets say that it's not. If a large group wants something and the majority can't make up it's mind they get fucked. Next time have a fucking plan.

THE MAJORITY OF AMERICANS DID NOT WANT OBAMACARE. Get it now?

Then how come the majority fucking voted for it??? They illegally and unconstitutionally shoved it through then??? That's a mighty big accusation...do you have ANY evidence of this?

I'm betting you don't have fuckin' shit and you're just pissed your team lost like 80 fucking times in a row.

...we are kinda shooting at their spawnpoint as this point. We should pull back a little. It's getting to the point that even the guy who never survives long enough to run out of ammo has gotten bored.

It's actually quite staggering and worrying at the same time.

Your political system is much more fun and entertaining than ours!

Woof!

I dunno, the weekly Questions to the Prime Minister is some of the most entertaining television ever.

Like last week when Ed Miliband asking the PM how it felt to have John Majors claimed by the Red Menace...
Priceless!

Utter bullshit. The vast majority of Americans knew that something was broken and that was no small part of what got Obama past Hillary was a plan to make things better. The fact that you and yours didn't have a plan is beside the point that's not because nobody wanted it that's just incompetence and worse lack of vision. I can forgive fuck ups a lot easier than I can forgive people who don't try.

actually, this isn't true.

clinton made a hard push for a huge healthcare overhaul in the 90's, and it was soundly rejected by congress, and the public.

so why would a politician risk his political clout on something that was already defeated?

Because it wasn't soundly defeated, it was smothered by Republicans the same way they attempted to smother Obamacare. Which was part of the reason why Obamacare was pushed so hard, had Obama not gotten it it could very well have been 2028 or later the next time they had the political clout to attempt to push it through.

That's not because Americans didn't want change it's because even a damn super majority isn't enough to bring Republicans to the negotiating table. You should just count yourselves lucky that Obama still attempted to meet you halfway. Anybody else would have simply crammed a completely Democratic Liberal plan down your throats and sent you home until the 2010 elections.

Wait, that was defeated? That was the reason I got health insurance. I remember it, because my mom was super excited. There was a big overhaul of some sort. Granted I was a tiny child at the time, but I thought that Clinton did a lot to make sure kids were insured.

if i remember correctly, clinton had a democrat majority in congress at the time.

instead of just being defensive and blaming republicans for everything, why not try this: quit blindly supporting your hero, and discover the truths for yourself.

i'm not trying to turn you to the dark side, bro. but you should know that democrats and obama aren't always right all the time.

Clinton did have a majority. But he needed a 60+ super majority because Republicans back then were only slightly less obstructionist than they are now.

I blame Republicans for what's rightfully their fault and OBama's not my hero. I've put a lot of time into learning the truth.

Of course you're trying to turn me to the Darkside. That's fine though.

Of course Democrats aren't always right, they usually are these days however because Republicans have gone increasingly from having a different point of view but a similar dream for America to being mustache curlingly evil. I really wonder if you guys greet each other "Bad day governor" at your weekly orphan sacrafice. Nothing else can explain your stances on so many things.

What is it?

Answers should contain no reference of any description to the current President, Obama, Obamacare or any word beginning with O or o - on the grounds that such threads have bored everyone here utterly witless.

So ... What is Republican health policy?

The pre-Obama status quo.

Sane people: Why do we not have vocational programs for these people so they aren't floundering into adulthood like every other fucking nation?

Not everyone can be a brain surgeon, astrophysicist, engineer or astro-fucking-naut....get god damn real.

Did anybody read the Republican Health Policy but me?
I skimmed it, but based on the "talking points" BS I expected it to live up to the examples you quoted. I might read it if I can find the time. On the other hand I hate reading long papers on a computer and hate to waste the paper on it.

There is a great plan in place. Get a fucking real job!

Problem solved for you welfare cowardly bitch babies
