I agree! I'm a terrible runner, but I just plug away at it. I consider it like gaining miles in biking: If you can do three, you can do five; if you can do five, you can do eight; if you can do eight, you can do 10 ... And before you know it, you're running a half-marathon -- or more!

Running is mostly mental. It's all in your head. And hit those hills.

I'm great with short distances. I realize this is all relative, but still!
On. It. I can't wait to get started!![]()

You'll get your proof alright. *chuckle*
You know what they say? Be careful for what you ask for.![]()

Thank you! I've been re-hydrating a lot since earlier, when I did a hilly 7 mile run in fairly quick time on an uncommonly warm October day. That followed a slower 6 mile run yesterday, so I'm starting to get the miles in again after a hiatus of a couple of weeks.Good morning fellow runners! Here's hoping that week will bring lots of miles to your shoes! Be safe out on the road and look out for each other! Most of all, don't forget to hydrate.

Interestingly enough that is sort of doable. US Road Running has a series of virtual runs from now to the end of the year. We could sign up for one of the races, and to bring the motivation factor, post pictures of our derrières and we can pick which ever one we like to 'follow'.
As a side note, I am unsure if that idea was creepy or interesting, which worries me. I am normally pretty cognizant of my creepy thoughts.

Evening everybody, how are the runners coming along?
