Runners unite?

I keep reading this runners untie and am concerned about tripping.

Unfortunately if you run enough you will trip and likely fall at some point. The best I can say is to learn how to roll as you going down, helps lessen the impact and pain.

It happens when you're not paying attention to where you're going! :D

I did a 10km race today after being sidelined for two weeks with a head cold. To say that I was determined would be an understatement. I was so far into "the zone" that I remember little about the event, and observers say that I went around the course with a look of serious intensity and focus on my face.

As it turned out, I knocked nearly three minutes off my previous best 10k time at that venue. I'm now enjoying a bit of a runner's high. Pow! Take that, rhinovirus! :D
.

That's awesome! Great job to you!

Awesome! I get that way, too, and it's been a rough year for me, injury-wise. Congratulations!

Red, she's so wise ;p

I'm talking from personal experience!!! It's so not fun. LOL! :(

Yes, thanks. Slowly working my way back to half-marathon eligible. (Don't know if I could ever do a full -- I'm in awe of them!)

Good luck on your recovery!

I know. I might try to swim with this one

Swimming may not necessarily be easier after a tough leg session, but the buoyancy of the water will make your workout more manageable than running. It is a leg day for me as well tomorrow. I, however, always look forward to collapsing after a tough session. :D

Totally agree

He guys! I am running a 10k in 2 saturdays and am training for tri-atholon next.

Yup Im into biking and like i've already trained up for the run.....im thinking the swim is gonna be the hardest part for me

The swimming is what freaks me out about a tri, too. I'm having balance issues and a couple months ago I was swimming under water, lost my bearings and freaked out to the point of almost going under in three feet of water!
So I don't think I'll be trying a tri until I get that resolved! :)

That's what I need: aquatic therapy. Do they have air mattress couches?

My *virtual* hat is off to all of you. I do run, but I am not sure I can run like most of you here. Keep it up!
