The upshot of what you just posted is that there are no hard comparisons between the two (or three, actually, because you were also asserting that the Obamas are a lot wealthier than the Palins). Everyone includes/excludes different things.

That's dishonest and seems to be how you operate in your dissembling, over-the-top partisan "discussions" (something you've apparently picked up from a certain campaign strategy).

I wasn't going to say anything more, but this is enough of a different subject that I will. I am comparing the net worth of the Biden and Palin families. They are both vice-presidential candidates and neither is super rich, so one can make a reasonable comparison between them. Being a Chicago politician, Obama probably has millions in bribes or other under the table funds stashed in offshore accounts, so I can't make any comparison with his family. The McCain family is probably richer than the other three combined, mostly from Cindy McCain's inheritance.

The point is, Box, that you brought up the net worth crap because you were trying to make it seem like there's a legit reason for the campaign to spend $150K on Palin's clothes. I do require proof any time someone makes an unsubstantiated claim in a political discussion. If you don't have facts to back up your assertions then it's a waste of air and electrons.

I live in Chicago, too, so I'm not unaware of the city's past. And I'm not even going to claim that there aren't a few sleazy pols around - as there are in any city, by the way - but I prefer honest discussions based in fact.

You want to claim that a particular pol is dirty - and you named Obama specifically in this regard - then I expect you can back up your assertions with fact. If not, the simply stfu.
