i think you’re right. the best thing to do here is drop the “conservatism” debate and speak frankly. since this forum is about abortion, i’ll limit my comments to that topic. No, you did not read it correctly. Anyone that is truly conservative could not support the party of trump. You are, again, welcome to scroll back and reread.
However, this is an open forum. You are more than welcome to clarify yourself, express your beliefs, and explain how you consider yourself a conservative that also doesn’t want to force your views on others. Rather than play this silly passive aggressive game where you don’t actually voice any opinions, but pout about how no one understands your opinions. It’s not my responsibility to hold your hand and coax responses and explanations out of you, or make you feel more comfortable voicing them. Speak up or don‘t. It’s not that difficult.
i have a moral objection to abortion, but i don’t think that criminalizing abortion is the best way to govern. i don’t care to further punish someone who is likely already been through a life changing, traumatic ordeal. further, it’s easy to see how polarizing this issue is and how it rips us apart and i care more about the future of our country than i care about having my way. while i’d like for there never to be another abortion again, that’s my personal view and i realize that’s not a realistic public policy. imho, there should be reasonable parameters on when an abortion is legal upon which a majotity of people in this country can agree. i also think there should be honest and meaningful effort to prevent unwanted pregnancies.
that’s my two cents. agree or disagree, ok. that’s your opinion.
