Don't forget, if its going to USA, its going to take at least a week.....maybe even longer, depending on how much it weighs.

If Cloudy's not getting her's finished for around a week, before posting, maybe we should leave the opening date for at least a couple of weeks, maybe 3.....how about Midwinter Day, 21 December ??, a time that's agreeable and accessible to all time zones involved, without having to stay up all night??

As the West Coast is 8 hours behind UK, and Europe is an hour ahead, how about somewhere in the middle, say 6pm in Holland, Sweden, 5pm in UK (GMT),midday at Eastern Time, 11am in Central, 10 am in Mountain, and 9am in Pacific. Or any variations on that arrangement.

Any other thoughts??

Works for me.

My gift is staying in the states, so won't take more than a couple of days to get there.
 
Mat- I could be wrong, but I don't think anyone is in Pacific Time. A few in mountain, tho. (unless I'm drawing the line wrong for the time difference)
 
That sounds perfect to me Mat, 5 is a good time, I can just cook tea for the child and hubby for that time and leave mine till i've ripped open my present and chatted with you lot about it :D

I wasn't sure if Bel was taking part, or Luc........they, I know, are in the Pacific. But even so, the time still sounds ok, so that everyone who's taking part, can do it at a reasonable time of day, without having to make it very early in the morning, or very late at night.

But, the decision is for the whole group...I'm fine with whatever is decided.

for me, I can probably spare an hour at any time of the day up to 11pm at night...any later than that is past my bedtime I'm afraid.

21st Dec at 5pm is perfick for me :)
 
I guess that would be noon for me. (Eastern US time). I'll do what I can to be present for the presents, but that's a bad week for me and one day is as good as another.

Mind you, having said that......21 is a Wednesday, Min will be at work. Damn !!

The only day she's at home during the day (apart from a sickie), is Friday, that's 23rd, or the weekend.

I don't think the simultaneous opening is going to work during the week, only at the weekend. And as the weekend after that is Christmas Eve and Day (I'm assuming we'll all be kind of busy??), how about the weekend before? 16th, 17th, or 18th. (totally selfish turnabout. My apologies).

The weekend before Christmas! We're putting up the tree and I think I'd better do some shopping. This would not be good for me. Sorry mat.
