I would suggest that .....

people simply open their presents when they receive them, and report to this group about it. If you want to wait, fine, but it's too cumbersome to try to assign a common time for opening, IMHO. And you won't get everyone to agree on a particularly day, especially at this busy time of the year. I guess you could suggest a starting date to report present opening (say, December 10th), but beyond that I think this is a fruitless venture....

Um since mine is handmade too.... I will probably not get it out for a week at least..... good think my person is in the states....

I will be gone 22-27 of december.... so if a date in there is picked I will post what was shipped to me before then

Like I said, I posted 9 packages of varying sizes to UK last Saturday, standard air mail.

I got two e-mails today, telling me two of the parcels had already arrived !!

Wow!! One was a small parcel, containing a journal, so not big or heavy. The second was a bigger box, but still small, around 8 x 6 x 4, containing several small, individually wrapped packages. Both took the same time, by the same process.

But I forsee it getting slower and taking longer, the closer we get to Christmas.

So...what was decided about opening gifts? Because I know of a few that will be getting to their destination fairly soon.
Not everyone has the same availability, so is it just open and post when you get it? And offer a guess about the sender?
