I can hold on for a certain date or open it whenever it arrives, it doesn't bother me one jot -I think some people were saying it would be hard to guarantee a time they'd be on over the christmas period. maybe just start a gift opening thread, and people can post as soon as they open their gift, and then the guessing fun can begin

Well I'd love to open upmy pressie with everyone on the same day, but it just doesn't seem workable. The only other idea is set a few days aside as opening days, so we might not all open the presents on the same day, but we'd be opening and guessing around the same time..

I do too, actually.

I think it might be workable, if we pick say Saturday, Sunday and a Monday and maybe Tuesday if we need an extra day maybe? so folks who have weekend online time and folks who have weekday online time could both join in.



- I think Christmas would be lovely, but some people might not want to open their gifts in front of relatives....

everyone check in when they have received, but not opened even outer..as some VELLA fergot to giftwrap. THEN when all have checked in..begin opening.

I think this is the best idea, actually. Because that particularly weekend has already been declared a bad time for some. So everyone can post when said gift arrives and then not open till everyone has one. Obviously have to go on the honor system that no one will peek early.
But then after everyone checks in, it's free game to open em.

Sounds good to me, so now, as well as posting confirmation, we all need to post a receipt confirmation, so we can check everyone's received their gift before we start opening.
