September Film Challenge 🎬

Awesome movie!
Have you seen the newer adaptation? (The Abbi Jacobson version.) I haven't seen it of course, because I haven't seen much of anything from the past decade or more (lol)... but I watched some 'making of' featurettes, and the casting looked fantastic. Nevertheless, the Geena Davis (mmm) version is still where my mind goes! Very inspiring, indeed. An excellent choice... for both teenage you, and for the current version!
A TV show featuring hot women who play baseball? Of course I watched it! It was good but I wanted to like it more. The actresses were great but the storyline was kinda meh and it needed more baseball. Just my opinion :)

A few years after this was released, softball was introduced as an Olympic sport in 1996. I played softball so teenage me was obsessed with this movie. Also Geena Davis, are you fucking kidding me? 😍πŸ”₯
This is one of those movies that, no matter what else I'm doing, if it's on I stop to watch. It's so good.

Day 23: A film that means a lot to me

My friend I grew up w/ was a Jedi Knight in this movie.

Day 24: A film by your favorite director

Day 25: A film that inspired you

Day 26 a film that makes me feel happy

So, I’m an unapologetic Kevin Smith fan. Sure he isn’t the greatest technical director. Sure he stopped making movies for anyone but his fans 15 years ago. Sure his horror movies were terrible…but all of that’s okay. He makes very heartfelt, genuine, movies about the people he loves and the things he cares about in life and it’s totally okay for a movie maker to decide that they don’t wanna be Scorsese. I’ve got good memories associated with all of his flicks but I’ll pick this one as I think it has an actual happy ending as opposed to the other favorite movie of his which I won’t name for fear of spankings.

Nice! I was a total Kevin fan boy back in the day. I still watch everything he does. Dogma was a good one for sure.
