Ok, was listening to a movie podcast and they mentioned an actress who I thought was sexy but was more a comedy actress, so now I think she’s underrated. Bernadette Peters, she was a smoke show. Who are some other folks that do it for you, but that’s now how they are marketed.

So, would you say that Meryl Streep is known for being the sexiest actress on screen? Not really. But still beautiful and talented and can get it. And fucking hilarious. Comedy, drama, she does it all.

Oooo to that end let me tell you about a historical crush. Gracie Allen.

Gracie was wrote George's jokes early on without credit because she was "just a woman" and threw herself at the butt end of the jokes without fear. George said in a later interview that without Gracie, there would've been no George Burns.

I just recently watched Some Like It Hot for the first time. Marilyn was fucking fantastic in it.

Many moons ago she was touring and was doing readings from the Nanny McPhee books. She went to the bookstore we got our kids’ books from so we went to the reading. She was both fabulous and yes, drop dead beautiful too

Really? The first thing I thought was “why is she talking like that?!?” but after I got over that part, her talent is undeniable.

I’ve spent a LOT of time at the historic, reportedly haunted hotel where that was filmed. The most often-sighted resident ghost was a jilted woman named Kate Morgan, who died there decades ago. The gift shops include a lot of merchandise from the hotel’s history, especially the shop named 1888, after the year of its founding. Once, I was looking at a Marilyn Monroe coffee table book there, when another of her books that I did not touch and was leaning back on one of those tripod book holders suddenly pitched forward and onto the floor at my feet. Being a few feet away from the Kate Morgan section, I joked that maybe she was jealous when the sales associate looked over at me questioningly, but she said “oh no, she doesn’t come in here.”
