Yep. I’ll never understand this borderline mania for pumpkin spice everything as soon as the end of August rolls around.
The blends for the stuff it actually works in are unbalanced at best, the products themselves use cheap ingredients that don’t taste all that good, and then they go ninety steps too far and put it in things that fall spices do absolutely nothing for whatever product they’re in (e.g. cold cereals).
Get the fuck out of here.
Just get a decent recipe, buy a few spices, and make up your own blend in 5 minutes. Anything you make with it, from coffee to pumpkin pie, will be cheaper and better than anything “pumpkin spice” you buy in a store.

Well, it was over 100°F here today (still 86°F at 9pm ) and I’m sitting in front of my fan, in my bra, with a spray bottle full of cold water…

Oh, what kind of donut am I? Not a plain one, I hope. That would be boring. And not something ridiculous, like from Voodoo donuts and the like. Though we have a place here that serves a maple bar with a shot of whiskey, and that sounds about right.

I make pumpkin bread (very similar to cakes and muffins) with a cream cheese glaze. Yummy!

I personally don't care for pumpkin pie or PSL's, I prefer sweet potato pie. This pumpkin bread is the only "PS" thing I enjoy this time of year.
