Kitty is all… having 10 or 12 long scratches, possibly infected with who knows what is pretty awful… but I am going to go with a shiv in your neck instead. Just, to make sure you get my feelings on the issue….

Hey, insomnia is serious bidness!

So I get home exhausted. Long day -- Wednesdays always are, with the second job to pay for kid's college. And said kid is parked in my space. We have one assigned space at the apartment, so whoever gets home first grabs one of the free parking spots. Nope, she parked in my spot. And hey, she is supposed to be at her mother's tonight! So I have to turn around and drive out to find a free space. When she was parked, it wasn't raining. Now it is pouring. I am tired, cold, and soaked when I get to the door. She and I have had this discussion before. I am pretty pissed off, so we are going to have words when I get in. Well, I am going to have words at least.

And she is crashed out hard on the couch with the TV going. Dammit. I go to my room, grab my extra blanket and put it over her, and now I am tiptoeing around the apartment. Kids...

Does she often appear on nights she’s supposed to be at her mom’s? Cuz my first thought was that she might have been seeking refuge from her mom. Personal bias could be coloring that impression though.

Not usually. She does sometimes when Doc in a mood (such as during midterms, heh). But she could also have just forgotten. She and her mom get along fine, mostly.


But now I am a blanket short and cold in my bed alone. Whatever shall I do?

Hehehehe yes! It's true. It's an easy way to identify tourists on the subway in Stockholm, because the end station is called Slutstation! It always cracks them up
