Does it make any difference that it’s the numerator that’s multiplied rather than the whole equation? I thought that the 0 to the power of 1 meant no working out was needed?

Oh I have absolutely no clue. The thing I did was to put the equation into something like Wolfram Alpha and it worked it out for me.

I failed algebra. Had to take a summer class

It’s one of those really poorly written math statements designed to cause arguments on the internet. As presented it’s really on the numerator that’s being integrated but there’s no equality to solve in that case, so the integral has to be the full statement.m

Anyway, nothing is being raised to the power of zero, it’s just saying the area under that curve is zero.

Calculus is beautiful and useless to most humans.

Other than, that the numerator can’t be integrated? Surely it can be multiplied by whatever you choose?
I’m gonna have to try and work this out lol; since I don’t understand calculus, will be futile lol

Full disclosure I did not attempt to solve it, I’ll take the computers word . I think you gotta do some shenanigans because the denominator is zero at x=1, I think that’s l’Hopitâl’s rule territory but my memory of calculus is decades old and should not be trusted
