I also hate ketchupJust returned from land of Ketchup Flavored chips.

Except that would be hot, and therefore not a smoothie. Gazpacho could be considered a smoothie though…![]()
It’s tomato soup!

I dont love ketchup but it has it’s place here and there. I enjoyed the All Dressed Chips more. Cheers!I also hate ketchupMaybe not as much as @Bry1313 , but still a lot. I’m also of the opinion that anything ketchup can do, barbecue sauce can do better. Hope you enjoyed them anyway!

Barbecue sauce is amazing and ketchup is trash. I’m not really into gazpacho, but it could be considered a smoothie, where hot tomato soup could not.Ok, what minute! Whoa!
Are we saying BBQ sauce is superior?!
And I also cannot get behind cold tomato soup!
We are very far apart on this!
I prefer barbecue sauce with a bit of kick to it, but in general, pretty much all barbecue sauce is better than ketchup, and it’s ketchup that is overly-sweetBut BBQ sauce is awful! Especially the sweet stuff![]()
Kitty, we really need to help you come out of your shell, and stop hiding your opinions so much.Barbecue sauce is amazing and ketchup is trash. I’m not really into gazpacho, but it could be considered a smoothie, where hot tomato soup could not.
BBQ sauce is also mostly ketchup.Barbecue sauce is amazing and ketchup is trash. I’m not really into gazpacho, but it could be considered a smoothie, where hot tomato soup could not.
Even if I don’t like it I make my children try it. How do you know this isn’t your favorite if you don’t taste it? At my age, though, I know what I like, and that isn’t BBQ!As someone who likes to eat and travel a lot I teach my kids to never say someone else's food choices are gross or disgusting. Just poor taste.
Good stuff there with kids. Do the sameEven if I don’t like it I make my children try it. How do you know this isn’t your favorite if you don’t taste it? At my age, though, I know what I like, and that isn’t BBQ!
My sister grows heirloom tomatoes and makes her own ketchup. It is a whole different thing. Also makes a good base for BBQ sauce. But BBQ sauce is awful! Especially the sweet stuff![]()
That is Kansas City style, the very sweet style. Make your own and you can adjust the flavor profile. An KC is only one style. There are a lot of different styles. But BBQ sauce is awful! Especially the sweet stuff![]()
I grew up in a house that only purchased Heinz ketchup....My sister grows heirloom tomatoes and makes her own ketchup. It is a whole different thing. Also makes a good base for BBQ sauce.
Carolina is good, it's the mustardy one.... Isn't it??That is Kansas City style, the very sweet style. Make your own and you can adjust the flavor profile. An KC is only one style. There are a lot of different styles.
I prefer the mustardy over the vinegaryCarolina is good, it's the mustardy one.... Isn't it??
Depends. Eastern NC is vinegar based. Piedmont is tomato based. Rest of Carolinas mustard.Carolina is good, it's the mustardy one.... Isn't it??
Yes.Carolina is good, it's the mustardy one.... Isn't it??
Vinegar based works well with pulled pork. Balances out the rich meat and is thinner, so the meat shines, with a bit of a bite.I prefer the mustardy over the vinegary
Makes sense. I don’t like pulled porkVinegar based works well with pulled pork. Balances out the rich meat and is thinner, so the meat shines, with a bit of a bite.
Totally agree. I tend to like mustard based with a lot of smoked sausages. Tomato based for smoked chicken and turkey and brisket. Usually no sauce for ribs.Vinegar based works well with pulled pork. Balances out the rich meat and is thinner, so the meat shines, with a bit of a bite.
I’m not saying nuffin.Makes sense. I don’t like pulled pork![]()
