There was more than once where I asked my mother if I was adopted simply because I could not reconcile in my mind the fact that I was more genetically similar to those two assholes than I am to anyone else in the world.

Ansault pears. They were described as utterly delicious, but didn't produce fruit as regularly as other trees and died out.
