Spiral cut and air-fried is amazing! I went from having hot dogs a few times a year during Dodger games to having them 3 times in a week the first time I tried it! 🫣

@crazychemgirl shared this last year, sliced rather than spiral cut. Get a nice bit of browning, absolutely delicious. Hot dog bacon. I serve it with mustards and sauerkraut, and good beer.

I remember trying spiral cut after both seeing a video and reading about it here, but discovered months later that the key is spiral cut AND air-fried. It’s soooo much better with the all-over browning and crispness! And it changes the flavor in a way my brain full of painkillers can’t accurately describe at the moment. Beyond the Maillard reaction…almost like a caramelization, but obviously not candy-sweet
