yeah, bit like that. they go very blue looking when I cry, but i think they look grey. beloved tells me they are actually teal and he knows about these things, but I don't see it myself! if anyone ever asked me, I'd say I had grey eyes. seems my colour perception is skewed!

I started it early last may and I got the last bit done in january (i think... I posted pics as I went along in the thread. just ignore the gratuitous self porn ones )

and yeah, although my guy is pretty cheap (£60 per hour) I couldn't afford it all in one hit. plus it hurt like fuck.

The dog tattoo is a memorial of Rio, my full Akita, that died two days before Thanksgiving and three weeks after my father died of cancer. They were both very gentle souls and very similar in many ways. Rio was and will always be the best friend that I will ever have and I still miss him, and my father, everyday.

When I look in the mirror, I remember them both.


Jeez....now I'm going to start sobbing again.

I can only speak for myself, but personally I'm a big fan of upper back/shoulder or forearm tattoos on men, as long as they're well done and have decent meaning to them.
