Okay I know some techie person will find fault with this answer but you will get the idea Sao....*G*

Some police forces use tasers to subdue people instead of hitting them ....like if they were struggling when they were under arrest....the taser itself has like two prong thingies that shock the person for a second making them lose control of their body and they fall down.....I have read that it hurts but there is no lasting damage to the person.
