Ted Kord

Blue Beetle​

Gadgets: When Ted was put in charge of Kord's Weapons Research Division, he was tasked with creating weapons, armor and vehicles that could be adapted to any situation. Ted took his cue by reviewing some of the most adaptable beings to ever grace this world. Insects. Much of his technology is based on his concepts of insect-related gear.

The Bug:Ted's main means of travel as The Blue Beetle. The Bug is a two person podlike craft. Powered by a specialized fuel cell, made of white dwarf star matter. The Bug was designed to travel anywhere. It literally looks much like a Beetle, including six, segmented legs, hard chitinous armor and is capable of flight due to wing very much like an insects, allowing the small craft immense manueverability.

Exo-Suit: Ted found the flaw of Mecha-suit technology to be the size. He therefore shrunk it. He took out the complicated weapons systems, the powerful engines. He replaced them with micro-servomotors, and a limited array of features. The armored suit he wears as The Blue Beetle is resistant to conventional firearms, taking the full force of even a high powered gun without causing lasting damage to the wearer.

The suit also contains a defense mechanism patterned off those used by various insects. It can emit a bright flare, blinding would be attackers, a variety of gases, such as knock-out gas, tear gas, etc. The gloves and boots of the suit are also able to allow the wearer to climb on surfaces much like a beetle or other insect. The boots also have a displacement mechanism that creates a means for the wearer to literally walk on water.

Grapples: Ted also carries a set of high test grappleguns. These can be used to assist in his climbing or to snare would be foes.

Long term Ted is working on a set of wings to add to the suit but has been unable to successfully shrink the tech down to sufficient levels.

Introducing GoldStar!

Michelle Carter

Okay, best GoldStar I could find, basically switch her and Booster's outfit. If everI introduce Michael it will be as Supernova anyway ​

Bio: The Goldstar from DC comics is different from the GoldStar I will be introducing. Our Goldstar is a female version of Booster Gold.

Michelle is a world class athlete. She has competed internationally in full contact martial arts since the age of 10. She also has trained in gymnastics, boxing and is very intelligent, though not nearly as intelligent as Ted Kord. She is the sister of Michael Carter, a former football star, and best friend of Ted Kord. Growing up Michelle and Michael came from the wrong side of the tracks. Their father was a compulsive gambler and relied on his children's athletic gifts to bring home money. As such they have had little to no contact with him in the last several years.

Unknown to every except Ted and Michelle, Michael's career ending knee injury was actually the result of their father welching on a bet made with the Falcone Family. Michael has kept this a secret. Following the event, Ted paid the debt and helped Michael cover it up.

Michelle has always been precocious and eager to prove that she can hang with her brother and his friends. She has kept a close friendship with Ted Kord, and though she would never admit it, she has deeply hidden feelings for Ted.

In her GoldStar persona Michelle has several abilities granted to her by her custom made suit. Her gauntlets grant her the ability to generate force fields and tractor beams. These tractor beams can be reversed to create a blast powerful enough to blast through 2 solid feet of concrete. Her armor is strong enough to take a full hit from just about any source and even bullets have little effect, though they still hurt like hell.

Skeets, using the same White Dwarf Star Matter that was used in The Bug, has made a much smaller version , that is incorporated within her belt. This belt creates an anti-gravitational field that is powerful enough to lift both her and several hundred pounds of added weight. This same piece of technology when combined with her gauntlets allow her to fly, and also grant her a measure of super strength. By passing a portion of her anti-gravitational field on to an object she is touching she can use the tractor beam technology to lift and carry or throw the item. This also can empower her punches and kicks with incredible force.

Her headpiece includes a HUD unit that interfaces directly with Skeets, granting her several methods of observation, including satellite topography, infrared, and ultraviolet spectrums. In addition she can access any information on a computer system into which Skeets can gain access.

Michelle means well, however her youth, inexperience and yearning for a better life may just be her downfall. She also secretly is a bit jealous of Ted and his wealth. And looks at this as her chance to finally make it out of her station in life.
