Sounds like what separation-minded Quebec politicos did for a while (and still threaten to do from time to time).

But enough about the politics, let's get back to the soccer... or football as our non-North American friends would say.

Is there a drop in the high goalage now? Many teams which were coping in the first games seem to be drooping as the humid conditions continue for the second games.

And what's this?!!! The ITV pundits discussing the South Korea vs Algeria game this evening were talking tactics and proper football! not a load of old truisms. It's hardly cricket, is it now?

Gareth Frank Bale (born 16 July 1989) is a Welsh footballer who plays for La Liga club Real Madrid and the Wales national team as a winger.

I have this scene playing over in my head.
The striker comes into the six yard box.
He's one on one with the goalkeeper.
He feints and sends the keeper the wrong way.
And then.
A phone rings.
The striker reaches into his short, pulls out a phone and looks at it.
He turns to the keeper and says
"It's my agent, I've got to take this"
 
Just though I'd have a look on here and see if there was anything I could get my teeth into.

Greece PK was BS. Same with the red card in the Italy game, not to mention Sanchez and his sharp chompers. Depressing outing by England. Uruguay gets the hottest team in Columbia in the knock out stage and CR v Greece. Didn't see that coming!:)

God I hope FIFA throws the book at Suarez. Talented player but is he ever a hate-able, disgusting POS. Biting someone is such a vile thing to do, and he's done it three times already in his career! Pathetic. Whatever the maximum suspension he could possibly get is, it's not long enough!
