Was fortunate to be stationed in Holland, I loved it. The people are fantastic, and there was so much to see and visit. Will say the only place I didn't care for was Belgium.

The only time I was out of the states was a trip to Canada in 1992 for a choir trip. I have yet to go anywhere else.

Was fortunate to be stationed in Holland, I loved it. The people are fantastic, and there was so much to see and visit. Will say the only place I didn't care for was Belgium.

I have never been to Holland myself, but everyone says the same thing. I would love to see it someday.

Was in the southern part. Which was so nice. Germany, Luxembourg and yes Brussels were all so very close. One thing I do miss so much are the restaurants. Most were small, but so unique. I remember one Italian restaurant that had a stone oven. And all the meals were served in stoneware.

My first day there my OIC took us there, ordered the lasagna, not knowing what I'd get. Was served this huge portion, it came in a stone loaf pan and it was delicious

Well I have one pissed off cat. The guys just pulled out the boat to go scalloping and she wasn't invited. She just loves those guys and wants to be an outside cat to hang with them and it's just not gonna happen. She's been stomping her little kitty feet and grumbling since they took off and just threw herself down on the floor. Good lord you'd think she was a reincarnated Hollywood drama queen from the silent era.

One of these days, I'm going to have to invest in travel and see all these amazing places. (Probably after my kid is grown up lol)

Mmm lasagne! I love it, but have to be careful with cheese. I bet you can still taste it.
