I got to work a few hours over at the PD making calls for hurricane prep with the teams.
We were checking on people who need assistance if we have to evacuate.
I'm back on duty tomorrow.

Good luck with the oncoming hurricane - hope it's a mostly miss. I've got three coworkers in various parts of Florida, plus some IRL friends and they're all going through various steps of prep.

See, that is why I live in California where everything is safe! (Uh, except for the four seasons of California - Mud, Riot, Fire and Earthquake.)

We are just about done. Early tomorrow we are gonna get some more supplies. My husband is taking tomorrow off. We are putting our storm shudders on our windows. .

We are prepared. We have plenty of food, water, flashlights. Batties, the windows protected, we even have wine ( lol) and cards. ( maybe hubby and I will play strip poker lol)

Yep. Self evacuations in a properly expedient manner whenever feasible ahead of time are always prudent. But sometimes that's not possible so good planning and preparation really helps. My largest concerns have always been the more predatory nature of people deciding to prey upon others during or following disasters. So all of you folks in harms way stay vigilant and be safe.
