Hi.how are you

Hi MrsMendez - I am doing well today. It's a nice lazy day and I'm alternating between watching stuff off the DVR, incidental housecleaning, web surfing, and general laziness. It's a good day for lounging. How about yourself,
how is your day going?

Staying indoors due to Irma

Good morning all. *starts coffee*

I hope Mrs. Mendez and Starry are okay and they come back soon.

Good Morning Azu and Everybody:kiss::rose:
Thinking of all of you, hope you All stayed safe from the Hurricane !

Repeating a post cause I'm exhausted....

Ok I'm off duty for now. We unevac'd some special needs people. Then I came home to help get the yard and tree crap cleaned and to the curb. We're all hustling incase hurricane Jose pops in for a visit. I was lucky to miss out on the call for a wandering cow. Yes a cow here at the beach.**LMAO the officer took a photo to prove it was real but he could not catch it. My CERT guys wanted a chance at BBQ for dinner tonight but they couldn't find it. I swear you can't write this up and sell it in Hollywood.*

Hi Starry - glad to hear that you're safe and it's the usual post hurricane chaos there.

The cow was probably a tourist cow!

(LOL when I was a cop, I got a call late one night about a mysterious animal in someone's back yard in the city. I pulled up, talked to the people in the house who were all freaked out because they could hear it moving and see a darker shadow, but all they knew was it was big and breathed heavy. I walked around to the back yard, turned on the flashlight, and there was a big old Guernsey (a dairy cow), contentedly munching on the back yard weeds. I called it in as a Mystery Cow - turned out it had walked away from an organic dairy a few miles away and was just gradually working it's way to another farm on the other side of the city, where it had come from.)

OMG Paul... City cows??? I thought beach cows were crazy.
My new family laughed when I moved in. I don't have pink flamingos
for the flower bed. I have 2 black and white cows for out there. :D
I grew up on a farm so mom made sure I'd remember that. :D

*hugs her tight* Missed you.

I also heard from Mrs Mendez. She's still without power and wifi, but says hello.

Good Morning Dumpling and Spacelings et. al. (LOL, that would be a good name for a law firm "Dumpling & Spacelings, LLC").

Starry - it's always good to remember where we came from. I have some small items around the house are mementos (or representative mementos) from my childhood in the middle of the middle of America)

Peeking in....
Still no power. Temps in mid 80s with feels like high 80s. Mainly monitored Facebook requests for help or info for the village. My new family brought me back BBQ chicken dinner bug enough for 5 meals. I was on a run to take part of my supplies over to Miss J who helps me run the support team. She had evac'd to the special needs shelter across the street from where my folks ended up. They scooted them home ASAP after Irma cleared but she had dang few supplies cause she'd had foot surgery before the storm and told no one. So she's set for a couple of days and I'll check her on Thursday after PT.

Really tired and sore. But I'm still moving slow but alive.
