Cold here too but nowhere near as cold as some other places. Whenever it's really cold or really hot outside and I want to complain about it I always remember it could be a lot worse. Then I'm just happy it's not any worse.

I'm cooking tomorrow for a family get together on Sunday. Since I went ahead and bought another crockpot I'll use one to make chili and the other to make a 2.6# pot-roast. There's going to be about fourteen people there so I hope someone else brings something besides desert dishes.

Morning Space denizens, what's up with everyone? I woke up to the delicious fragrance of a large pot roast which had been slow cooking on low overnight in a crockpot. It's looking pretty darn good and the broth tastes great. Hopefully everyone will enjoy it, I hope so, larger beef roasts and fixings don't come cheap.

It's too bad things are so slow around here lately but with holidays and such its inevitable in a flirty banter based conversational thread like this one. Hopefully all are well and those who've been absent for a while are contentedly happy.

That sounds yummy! I'm an early riser, been awake a couple hours now, CJ is not. I'm laying here trying to decide when and how I should wake him up.

I used to like to sleep away the morning on days off after a night of revelry or debauchery as the case may be. Now though I'm up with the sun, even if I'm flat ass tired. It makes me feel better and fall asleep more easily at night. All in all suffering though a day with minimum sleep is better then disrupting my routine.

I'm glad you guys had a good weekend together and hope that two of you have all of the time you can manage with a long distance relationship. The absences make the infrequent meetings all the sweeter.

Well the pot roast dish I made went over great at todays get together, I didn't even bring any left overs home. That's a win in my book! Even the picky eaters went back for seconds. It's a nice feeling to make a food dish that surprises everyone and watch them tearing it up.

After four days of torture, it looks like the flu bug that took me is finally going away albeit as noisily as possible.
