Spacebar 3.0 >.<

Enjoy the movie Soul! I know it is high on the list of most of my friends tonight or this weekend (I'll wait until the crowds die down).

Hi Shadow and TN!

It is off to a good start - i had the day off and managed to be lazy through most of it, so I am sliding into the weekend in a very good mood at this point. How is your fine Friday evening going?

Wanders in, blinks, gets the coffee started.

Good morning Spacelings. A brisk morning here, kind of chilly (all of 37 degrees) but otherwise a nice start to the day. Hope everyone's having a good morning.

Morning all! I woke up at 8 & couldn't go back to sleep. Damn phantom pains. Have you ever grabbed something & had it shock the shit out of you? Not like a little static shock. I mean like a faulty appliance. That's what it feels like. Electricity running through the bottom of Stimpy.

We've made it all the way up to 29 degrees! Lmao

Good morning Shadow :)

Yes - I have. When I was recovering from my injury some years ago, there was some nerve damage. When I was in the later phases of PT, starting to walk without crutches or a cane, I would suddenly get a jolting "buzz" that would shock me and run up my entire right side. It was quite a thrill. It eventually faded, but it was a lot like getting hit by a taser. (I can say that, having been hit by a taser LOL).

Hahaha - yep, I have a taser (the pistol model, which fires the little prongs that stick in you). Of the years, I've shot a few people with it because they see it and they really, really want to know what it feels like to be on the receiving end. I've also won a few bets with it. LOL - you get macho men and women who think they can walk through it and I'll bet them they can't. OMG I might be a sadist!

:) I was a certified self-defense instructor for years and had my taser instructor certificate as well, so I can tell my friends I must have tased a few hundred cops over the years, since getting hit by it is part of the training.

I've watched a bunch of so called manly men turn into simpering babies when they've been sprayed with OC or ridden the lightening. It was kind of predictable, the obvious gym rats had trouble hanging with the folks who paid attention and thought things through.

 Dragon

I remember when my husband came home after OC training at the prison. He was sick for days!

Hi TN and Azul

TN - yeah, it seems backwards but what I often saw was the more a person was a gym rat, the more likely they were going to run into trouble or overestimate their own abilities. They often equated raw strength with skill and discipline, when they're really different areas. In my experience what tips the scale in an self-defense situation is how quickly a person could execute their training. That comes back to mental agility and training. The thing I always hammered was to mentally play the scenarios in your mind so that when it comes time to act, you act swiftly and decisively and then follow through.

Glad it's a better day for you Azul. Rough days suck and I'm always glad to just get through them.

Hi Spacelings

Hope everyone's Saturday is unfolding with a bit of grace.

Had a nice and lazy day here. A nice brunch with a good friend I hadn't seen in a couple of months and then a supremely lazy day, which I must have needed.

It's been a day so far. Right now it's storming quit a bit with super high winds. Sound's kind of like a jet engine outside. Tornado Watch of course. Cyclical weather, its always interesting.
