Support the AH Halloween Contestants Thread

That would be cheating!

Like last year, I'm not going to write a word of my NaNoWriMo effort until 00.01 GMT on 1st November.

What I am doing is finger exercises that result in Halloween stories.

Og

Edited for PS: Just submitted another story, not for the contest but one I wrote two years ago and didn't realise, until Colly started reading my old Silverbridge stories, that I hadn't actually posted on Lit. That was a very easy 2,500 words.

For anyone who hasn't read them, I highly reccomend them :)

Great title! This I have to read!

Okay I submitted mine just now...if you read it please be kind. I think I'm going to need it.:)

this from a lady with two 'editor's picks' on her resume?

Rumple and Cloudy's stories!

I just read Rumple Foreskin and Cloudy's stories. Wow!! Very well written and a model for others. The characters were so vivid, I was just blown away! My own Halloween Entry, The Mask, has a respectable 54 votes. Unfortunately the rating is a lukewarm 4.20!! Sack

Sack,

Thanks for the kind words. Don't you hate a 4.20? With 54 votes there's almost no hope for anything but a spot among the rest of us in the middle of the mob. You might as well bite the bullet and crank out another story.

Rumple

I've noticed we all got hit by the angry one-bomber today. Pretty much all the contest stories that had H's from what I can see were hit starting with the Erotic Horror pieces. Hopefully, Laurel will catch that on her next sweep.

On lighter news, my third is up and boy is it a downer. See All Hallow's Eve below.

:) I submitted mine this morning about 7:00 and it posted within 12 hours. That's pretty good. If you want to read it, the name is "Melanie and Me in the Haunted House". I should warn you though, it is very dirty.:D

Thanks Mr. Hugs...:) Well it's posted but it isn't in the contest list...hmmmmm. And yes I put contest entry in the notes box.

Up Already!

Posted within hours! Still too late to have much hope of passing the early birds, though. Have a read:

Ghouls Just Wanna Have Fun

Not a clue why it came out in italics. I didn't submit it that way. I'll resubmit later.

Don't seem to be getting as many reads as in past contests. "The Moth's Song" has been up for 4 days and only has 2000 views. Only 2 comments, too. Pretty disappointing.

And here I thought it was a pretty catchy title.

I think your right, the views are nowhere near as many as for National Nude Day. Probably because the kids have gone back to school :D

I'm not reading any until after the weekend, expect a PC next week.

I started reading yesterday & am slowly making my way through the list, focusing on the AH authors first. The spooky stuff isn't my bag ... but I'm really enjoying the craftsmanship.

Thanks to all whose work inspires me to improve my own!

My story sprung out to huge reads day one, then stopped dead. Maybe cause it was classed as incest?

I suspect the large number of stories classed as "Erotic Horror" this time might be reducing views.

I wish the categories were listed on the contest page. If it's not an author I recognized, I'd just skip the Erotic Horror stories altogether. However, some authors I'll read regardless of the category.

LOL There's no guessing the public mind.

My votes are the same as in the NND Contest, as is the number of pc's.
The number of views now is about double, but the score is a lot less.

And Laurel made it Erotic Horror, I thought it was Non-Human.

I could see how it could be both. Mine, fortunately, stayed in Non-Human.

It's my descriptions that Lit often changes, not my categories.

I shamelessly admit to having submitted an Incest entry for the contest this year since my Erotic Horror one last year didn't even get enough votes to qualify.

I have to say I've been completely astounded at the response, views and votes on my story. Far higher than any other contest entry I've submitted and I know it's definitely not my best work.

It went up last Saturday has over 67 300 views, 426 votes, around 40 feedback letters and 21 public comments ( mostly positive and two which were constructive criticism which I appreciate and of course, one or two from anon trolls who have to make their obligatory appearance during contests). The score is nowhere near a winning one, but the really positive spin off has been that many of my other stories have had a rise in views, votes and scores. I definitely think it's worth entering the contests for the exposure alone.

Good luck to all the contestants. There are some good stories out there!

That's wonderful to hear G-G. Really pleased for you. Will read next week and add my comments to your stack.

(Note to other contestants - give up :D )

Laurel PMed and will be putting my story in the contest section tonight. I'm going to spend the weekend reading, trying to get to everyones.

Phooey!

Had a perfect score going with 10 votes. The 11th vote killed it. Bah humbug!

I considered entering mine as an anal story but decided against it. My anal stories have gotten a lot of views but usually not very good votes so I decided to go with E/H. I also could have used non-human, group, toys, and maybe some others.

I have been reading some of the stories posted and have been inspired to write and submit one of my own! I wrote and submitted very quickly - as is my want - when will I learn patience?

OMG, so many stories!

I thought I had it all under control. Began reading the first stories and it went well. Then I didn't check for a few days and now there are TONS of stories in the contest! Gosh! I doubt I'll be able to read them all, but I hope to read as many as possible.

Great work everyone!

/LP (who still can't make herself write the erotic parts in her Halloween story. )

Multiple tales....

I had them all read severa times...
but like the movie: THE BLOB~
The list keeps getting bigger and bigger...
but I should have them caught back up
by sunday...
great tales...
so much sex in one long long list...

"DIVE IN"...he he he

Halloween can be so much fun when
you write about the 'hollow' and the 'weeney'...

a new Halloween story...

I'm actually excited about my new Halloween Contest Entry..."Who Killed Lois Laynes?" As far as I can tell , this is the first Halloween murder mystery whodunit on Literotica. The answer will be posted in the Author's Hangout on Halloween. Happy sleuthing! (should appear in a day or so under the Non Consent/Reluctance category)
