Support the AH Halloween Contestants Thread

All Hallow's Eve needs a single vote, but since it has zero chance of victory, it doesn't really matter if it gets it.

Has anyone else noticed in E/H how we keep getting hit with sweep 1 bombs? Sadly, they got one of my stories right after sweep cleanup. Bastardos.

but it deserves a "5" just for courage....

Immortal Ecstasy has dropped from 4.8 to 4.25 over five votes, still under qualification level on 24 votes. Not that it matters, I don't mind stories being voted down on merit or taste, I am irritated if it's being voted down because it is in the Halloween competition.

Still, it received this public comment so I am not complaining.

"bizarre, but.....
Once certainly can't accuse you of copying, Neon, there is NOTHING like this in the entire Literotica literature. Your buildup in the first few paragraphs was excellent, the very end was a bit dry..."

Neon

very well done story...gave it a 5 despite the absence of dialogue.

Whew, read a lot, commented a lot. Great job one & all. If i haven't got to yours yet, I will asap. If you are short votes, let me know. I have PCed all I have read, so if you need a vote or three and I haven't left a PC let me know ans I'll move ya to the top of my reading list :)

Me, too.

:) I have been reading, voting and writing comments. I find it annoying that, when I hit "Edit" the PC I have just written seems to be full of spacing errors. When I look again at what I have written, there are no errors. The final, posted PC has all the errors again. I try to carefully edit what I have written and I don't like to have a final product that seems to be full of errors.

I am glad you suffer the same problem.
I was beginning to think there was something wrong with my keyboard.
And yes, I find it annoying too. Like you, I always check my messages for errors.

There was a big ass (luna) moth on the screen door this morning when I took the kids out to meet the school bus. *shudder*

Gettin' kinda cold for the bugs, ain't it?

Not in thermal underwear.

Ick!

If I see a big-assed moth anywhere near my home after reading Doc's story, I'll be nuking him with the raid.

*shudders*

Lmao~

Glad ya smiled, I thought I had become a thread killer instead :)

OH nO!

lOVE THE NUKE'EM 'Phrase'

And Doc's tales have a way of making
a lasting Impression. Moth's song has
us all glareing at the harmless Moths
this Halloween season...<snicker>...

Makes shopping list:

Add Raid
Moth Balls
more Moth balls
bug zapper
insect nets...he he he he

and the winner is....

Looks the easy winner of the Halloween contest will be Things That Go Hump In The Night. A real story, despite the slight editing errors. And as is echoed in his biography, Stephan J. obviously really loves women. I can't relate to that fact, but can always appreciate a well crafted story. It could have been a complete disaster in the wrong hands, but somehow makes coherent sense here. Absolutely scandalous that this didn't earn an "E". It sure is more convincing than that ultra dry Hesperus story.

That high score for Things That Go Hump is impressive, but to pick-up 169 votes on the first day is a little mind-boggling. As I mentioned before, there seems to be a pattern in these contests that a late entry or two just blows the doors off stories that were posted earlier.

IMHO, 169 votes in one day with a score of 4.86 qualifies as a serious job of blowing doors away.

That is amazing. 169 votes in one day is more votes than any of my stories have, some of them in 18 months. My Halloween story has 77 votes, which I used to think was quite a few.

You're right Box. The thought that 169 people would read and vote on a 15,000 word story in one day is amazing. And what's just as amazing is that of the ten PC's with names, only one was left by someone who has ever submitted a story to Lit.

NONE of my stories have THAT many votes ... even after being up a YEAR. I have a feeling this one will be closely scrutinized.

"Anonymous" has been busy.

I'm not so surprised by this. One of my National Nude Day entries received 190 votes, I'm pretty sure it received close to 100 on the first day. Green Gem reported her Halloween Entry received over 460 votes in four or five days.

The only element that does surprise me is the extremely high rating, you would have thought the competition trolls would have been picking it off, maybe they like 'First Time' stories. :D

As for my two current entries, lanquishing on 41 and 26 votes, the later had a very high rating until a streak of low votes that may or may not get removed, but then it will drop me below competition entry level. Actually had no votes on either for three days.

Thank you - who's last now?

Thank you to those who have voted, posted PCs and sent Feedback on my Halloween entries.

Two of my stories are doomed to mediocrity:

Sister Nun rated 4.37 with 118 votes, 43,604 views and 7 PCs
Women in White rated 4.22 with 27 votes, 5,619 views and 6 PCs

Two are in contention for last:

Morose Monk rated 3.72 with 25 votes, 3,664 views and 5 PCs
Absorbed rated 4.06 with 17 votes, 2,885 views and 3 PCs. 17/25ths of 4.06 makes this my lowest at present.

There is still a few hours left for another entry...

The Great Og is into heavy pain. Whether it's his pain or the reader's, I'm not sure.

Rumple Foreskin

I think this time it is the reader who will feel the pain.

My last entry, 'Miranda the Witch' has just been submitted. At 26,800 words it is one of my longer contest entries.

I hope it is in time. If not I will edit it to add the other 10,000 words before I start on the sequel...

Comments and votes appreciated from readers with stamina.

Og the verbose.
