No where compares to Houston traffic tho. Big D has the best in the state. Where are you from EN?

Born in Houston. :)

I'm a Kirby Lane Cafe kind of girl with a sprinkle of Magnolia Cafe thrown in... ugh! Now I am hungry and wishing I was in Austin. Sigh! You are a mean man!

Two of my absolute favorite places to eat in Austin! And a little Pizza Nizza on the side - before going gluten free. :(

I've only been to Austin once, which is pretty ridiculous considering I've lived in the Houston area for almost 35 years.

When I did go, I hardly remember eating there. It seems I was in my 20s and the only thing we cared about was 6th Street. No wonder my memories are vague. ;)

And I love that show, Austin City Limits.

Austin is spectacular, funky, great food, and pretty scenery. Well worth a trip next time you have a couple of days off. :)

I go to Houston every few months. I could not live there. I was in town and I walked (about a mile) to go have some dinner, at which point the server told me, "This is Houston, we don't walk here. You should not have walked up here alone. I will give you a ride back to your hotel." He did but it never occurred to me I should have been fearful of walking around.

We've just moved into the city, a couple of miles from downtown. I walk at night with the dogs, no problem. And there are several restaurants and pubs within walking distance as well as a Whole Foods. ~ shrugs ~ Walkability really depends on the safety of the area. :)

I was SW of downtown, near reliant.

I miss living downtown in my little arizona town. Always something going on to check out and cool restaurants.

Oh, no. And I mean, no. :(

Yeah, don't walk there....

Is any place in Houston really safe anymore? Heck, even the "ritzy" Sugar Land area has become dangerous!

Concealed handguns, ladies. It's the way of the future.

Good morning, everyone!

I bought all the stuff and I should be. I should be chopping veggies and assembling. Having a hard time getting motivated.

I am currently typing about 75 words per minute and I have just finished a Red Bull.

*politely reaches over and lights a fire under your ass*

Did that help? hehe :D
