Besides, scouries has said on more than one occasion that he wouldn't post in other threads if we left his thread alone. So I've basically done that, as have many others, but he brought his crap to other threads, so why should we all go to his since he can't keep it there?

I tend to agree that this is not the place for chit chat. "Ruined" however is probably too strong a word.

I spend an insane amount of time on this site and every time I come I am always looking for works by the following authors in no particular order.

I like this set of authors because their output is consistant plus they utilize the tools every author should wield when writing. Plot and Character development, Dialouge, Suspense and Intrigue, and Proof-reading and Spellchecking. When an author utilizes these tools well they are able to draw readers away from the mundaneness of life and enable them to see the posibilities life holds. Each of these authors and many more I could not name do that for me on Literotica and I thank them.

In my opinion he is unsurpassed as a writer on this site, and even if he is pursuing commerical writing interests elsewhere, every single submission he makes here for free, is top class. His use of language is outstanding, his descriptions of anything from a forlorn seedy motel to the way a woman vibrates during an orgasm are so vivid, so real that you can almost see it, hear it, smell it. And he has an edginess to his writing that is pure brilliance.

Readers at Literotica are very fortunate to have a writer of his calibre here.

I read his work and it never fails to inspire and motivate me to raise my own standard of writing. I am sure he has that effect on many other contributors to the site.

To my mind that is what an influential writer is. Not how many stories he/she can write in a year but that the quality of what they write is consistantly excellent, that they excite and enthrall you with the originality and uniqueness of their work and that their passion for writing and story telling bounces right off the screen and keeps you glued.

I don't think ANYBODY who hasn't sat down and written a story should be slamming somebody who does. It is hard, frustrating work and you really need to do some of it before you start kicking at somebody. You can have your own opinion that you don't like his style of writing, that his genres aren't your cup of tea or or even that his writing is at a level lower than you prefer, but a lot of people DO like BFW writing, so I'd go a bit easy on the "His writing is horrible anyhow" stuff, K?

I will admit I've had my differences with Freddie in the past, and I don't always think his stories are the greatest, but obviously many others do. This thread isn't about someone's character, but rather the writer who influenced you the most, be it in your own writing or personal experiences.

Freddie has influenced many people here, and while not all of it is positive influence, it's influence all the same. For one to invoke the kind of raw emotion that he does, it's truly a talent. He brings out the best and the worst in people. That's a sign of a talented writer.

I agree he's had his moment in the sun, but he's been pretty tame since he posted his last story, so cut the man some slack. I'd be the last person to openly defend Freddie if it wasn't warranted, but I think this is.

If you don't like him, that's fine, but I don't think it was really necessary to come in here the way you did. I think you owe him an apology.
