The 11th Annual Literotica Award Nominations: Most Influential Writer

As nobody seems to have made a serious nomination yet, may I kick things off by nominating Firebrain, whose "Chairman of the Whored" series is developing into a fine modern erotic novel, which has certainly inspired me in my baby steps into writing for Lit.

Actually, I did make a serious nomination also, but it seems to have gotten lost in all the petty bickering again.

So again, I'll put up my nomination for MugsyB. I love all her "Ice" stories. She's brought together two of my favorite things: hockey and romance.

Jealous?

Your panties are showing, Ace.

You assume that I didn't exist before Bostonfictionwriter in 2007. It angers you that I have more Green E's than you do, huh? And you thought you're such a great writer...Habu.

And Scouries and Sarahhh were not the only ones who nominated me. Go check. They were others and if it was a joke, why did I receive so many votes.

Oh, wait, I don't remember you being nominated for anything. Okay, now I understand why you're such in a bitchy mood, gay one.

Jealous of what? You're just a silly little prick--and prove it again and again all by yourself. :D

Anyone can check your BFW listing and see you have one green E (although that too was probably somebody's idea of a joke).

(Oh, and you haven't looked very well if you don't think I've ever been nominated for anything.)

Nominate ELDRIDGEINOO

I would like to nominate ELDRIDGEINOO. His 16 chapter Conflicted series was everything a story could possibly be as it was both extremely erotic and emotional at the same time. I had tears streaming down my face more than once when reading the series.

I would like to nominate Soular for Gabriella. It takes a lot of guts to post a story that you know a chunk of your fanbase will hate. Soular did it anyway and Gabriella is turning out to be a masterpiece of human emotion. She's got my vote.

In this category, please nominate the writer who affected you the most in 2009. Whose stories did you seek out and enjoy? Who made laugh/cry/etc.?

Author must be an active Literotica author (meaning their account is still currently on Literotica – it has not been removed or cancelled) who submitted stories during the year 2009 (and those submissions must still be on the site).

One nomination per member, please. If multiple nominations are made by a member, only the first listed will count.

I want to nominate Harddaysknight. Their stories are well written, humorous, and could be taken from real life. Whenever I see that they've put up another story I always read it, knowing it will enlighten and show ways to write that I only wish I could emulate.

michchick your stories are pretty awesome too! But, I am going to nominate
Evanslily. Her stories are addicting, and I check daily for her work!

Michchick98, I owe you an apology for missing your nomination amongst the detritus of the opening salvoes. I shall read those stories as recompense.

Even though I can already tell this thread is a trainwreck, I'd like to second the nomination for Princess Erin

No harm done. I tried to throw my nomination out there in hopes of heading off the trainwreck, but I see it was pointless. :) If and when you read the stories, MugsyB has the correct order of them on her bio page.

I would like to nominate soular. I liked her two series damn dress and seven days so well. She is my favorite writer. I like her writing style very much so my vote goes to her.

I'd like to nominate Ogg. The influence centers around the idea of fearless experimentation. Reminds us that the finding of one's voice and best ways to do these things is a lifelong journey, and the journey should be enjoyed and not get too worked up over momentary dips; ties into the encouragement/inspirational aspect, because he has a way of helping us remember that if a work happens to flop on Lit, it's certainly not the end of the world.

I will nominate the Positive Thinker. He seems to be the only sane one around here and he writes well, too.

Hrkw

I am nominating HRKW for most influential writer. I stumbled upon her first werewolf series, The Heat and have followed her ever since. Her story topics are diverse and her skilled, highly visual style, completely unpredictable style of writing has me hooked. She is a master at sexual tension, and beyond. Whatever the scene, I find myself reading late into the wee hours.

Are you aware that is an Alt of BOSTONFICTIONWRITER?

It is? How do you know that? Are you sure? You guys are always joking around and I can't tell who is who any more.

Then, can I nominate the BOSTONFICTIONWRITER instead? Or, should I do both of them to be on the safe side, since I don't believe you.

Well, no, you can't nominate BostonFictionWriter because he didn't write any stories in 2009, at least he didn't with the BFW ID. That's one of the rules of the end of year awards, you have to have submitted a story within the year being voted on.

Then, I retract my nomination of the BOSTONFICTIONWRITER and I'll just go with the Positive Thinker nomination.

Oh wow. Look, I can do it too.

Seriously folks, you're only embarassing yourselves...

I want to second the nomination of Ogg, for his extensive body of work, including 2009, and because he is considered by members of Lit. to be an elder statesman and because of the way he originates and runs the support threads for theme contests. :)

Ditto. I'll third that with another for Ogg. Love the weirdness in his stories.

Well, I'm gonna nominate sethp, just for something different.

And because he's so amazing. :D
