Had a minute this am to try and catch up…impossible on this thread. Just a quick update. The Ablation went fine but her heart rate dropped off to 38bpm twice overnight. The doc decided a pacemaker is the way to go so that is being done today. Not sure if it’s the old style that just keeps in rhythm or the defibrillator style? I’ve heard there are two types.

Anyway, she’s doing good for having to go through two procedures in a short amount of time.

Oh…did get to glance over some other posts…first concert…Johnny Cash! I was six…maybe seven. Came to our local High School and my parents drug me along. I didn’t understand the significance of it until many years later.

Fave drummer? I came of age in the Neil Peart and Stewart Copland era…pedestrian I know, but they were good. All the others mentioned were awesome also! Always appreciate a good drummer.

36 bpm is extremely low. I’m glad that they’re going to take care of this with a pacemaker. Positive thoughts and Prayers for your mom!

My sister was the cheesecake queen in our family. She always told me how hard they were to make and that I could never make one. Well, I'm here to tell you, they're dead easy to make! I never fuss with the waterbath nonsense. People seem to like what I'm putting out, so there's that.

I have a sister like that... she's set herself up as the Queen of Cookies (and all things baking-related, really).
She does a really good job with the baking... just gets a bit, erm... feral? When she feels her territory is threatened.

If you treat her right, you'd be surprised what you can get an old hoe to do!

Cherries are coming to the Great Lakes State. I know local strawberries are here.

I don't think it's all that uncommon to fix the known heart issue and then need a pacemaker afterwards. My sister has one - and you're right... some have the built-in defibrillator function, too.

Lovely. I know the gardeners among us may be less welcoming. I loved seeing all the visitors in my mom's backyard. Sadly, when the city sold the land to a developer that all stopped. Goodbye undeveloped forest land... hello new neighbors in your McMansions.

oil is draining from the farm truck and filter is changed. I like a long drip before refill
added hydraulic fluid to Bo.
put the new batt'reh into the 2nd string lawn tractor and it fired right up
moved the herd of gas cans out of the tools room and into the car storage.
checked all the fluids in the 2nd tier tractor
tookening the air filter to lunch to get a new one
inflated all the small equipment tires to proper levels.
sent my 2023 tax shit to the bean counter
made a shooping list for the farm supply store
had a good visit with Ethyl


Off to hit the showers to go to town . . . .

Went south to see mum again yesterday and take her for lunch.Doing so well we had a walk after of about three quarters of a mile. Took forever as everyone knew her and we were constantly stopped for a chat. It’s like being out with royalty! Then she surprised us when she got home saying she can see her self coming up to visit…. Wow thought she wouldever want to leave home! Be end of September I guess. So great day but 7 hours driving for 5 hours with her. Worth it but I am knackered!
