Sloths are the (unofficial??) mascot of those with Gastroparesis (slow GI systems), too.My spirit animal! My Goddess got one last time I was home, to keep Her company while I'm away.View attachment 2580902
That's a healthy fear to have IMONo and I feel the same way. Actually it’s ice and sleet that scares me.
Oh, to have a private yard with a nice, tall fence... or so much land one needent worry about nosy neighborsWhat are you trying to say, there'll be no "naked snow-angels" in your yard?![]()
brisk... when running, it's called briskEnjoy the cold run brrrrr
Common sense and a good set of tires!I am so scared to drive in it but i have to be tough and do it.....
Plus - donuts are funWhat I did back when I lived in Pa was I would practice driving in a parking lot. I would stop and go and get a feel for the traction. I would practice slides. Nothing to violent but enough to refresh my snow driving skills. It will help relieve some of the anxiety.
Got back to my place yesterday. Thermostat said it was 71 inside. Turned that right down to 68. Much better.70. Feels a bit chilly to these bones used to 90!
Yep - it's those "other people" you have to worry about more than your own driving. Having to react to their bonehead decisions.Thx
I made it to my parents and shoveled the walk
Only to realize dont have to be there til 1045
On the way had to turn around because people sliding of the road. I have awd and she did pretty good.
Ah - not "itty bitty space all around" but "itty bitty space on one side and none on the other". Yep - tractor pullin' time. The problem is to get a car in a cargo container is that it needs to be pushed to one side. When that side is near a wall, you can't get at those to fill them.
Good thing I was sitting down for this updateMomma behaved for once.
I think she's someone else's Hall Pass?You had me at “Nigella”…
She’s my TeeVee Crush.
I’d never heard Nutmeg is toxic and that article said they scaled back from the original 1553 recipe. I like it because my granddaughter has dairy allergies and the original has no dairy. May try this this weekend.
I hear trumpetsYes…I mean…MAJESTY!
May your reign be long! ALL HAIL THE QUEEN!
TruthHaha...dont underestimate the wiley-ness of your average 80 yr old
Best of luck with dad today!!Got dad to hospital. We r done with pre op and waiting for tge next steps.
The tricky part is seeing it first! The whole thing made me wary of black ice. I will not drive on it.
The Laws of Physics will bite your ass every time!Another experience involved driving my AWD car in a snow storm. It was my first AWD. I was amazed at the traction but almost lost it when stopping. I reminded myself of the laws of physics!![]()
Godspeed, Dr. Tyler….
Good idea. My little car handled it like a champWhat I did back when I lived in Pa was I would practice driving in a parking lot. I would stop and go and get a feel for the traction. I would practice slides. Nothing to violent but enough to refresh my snow driving skills. It will help relieve some of the anxiety.
Ot was beautiful and i love to watch it fall it is just the driving ....I know the feeling. I have this love/hate thing with snow.

He is out and "waking up". They were able to do under conscious sedation and the least problematic of dialysis access solutions. His vascular surgeon is very very good. He has a great rep.Hang in there. Wishing all the best
I have never rolled in the snow or ice. I always chose dry conditions! I meant studs, they do help. It also helps at time to have friends along that can push.I will not drive on ice. Once in January, I was driving to work and saw luckily black ice. I slip my stick drive car out of gear and coasted until I got to traction. Unfortunately the SUV came up behind in the next lane very fast. The SUV hit the ice and started sliding sideways. As soon as it hit dry pavement it rolled. I pulled over and called the police.
The whole thing made me wary of black ice. I will not drive on it.
I have worked in a steel mill and we had these huge heat treating furnaces. You would freeze on one side and burn up on the other. A couple of times I had steam coming off my clothes that got wet from the snow.I don't have a thermometer, but we're just arriving in Cameron LA and it's really brisk.... I'm wearing a jacket and preheating my steel-toes on an engine.
Well, at this very moment it is 77.Is it cold there?
Pee CanPeh-KHAN

I agree they make a huge difference. In your area, I would get snow tires. It’s not worth it here down south.good set of tires will do for winter driving
I am so sorry Wat. Best wishes to you and the family.Godspeed, Dr. Tyler….
