The 50 Plus Cafe, Pub, All-Nite Greasy Spoon and Dive Bar

So, dying crew members don't make the cut, huh? 😤🤬
I've only had one person flatline on a saturation dive boat.
15+ minutes of CPR and 2 jolts from an AED brought him back.
USCG refused to come pick him up, so the client sent a private MedFlight. The man walked to the chopper under his own power.

That boat had 3 previous deaths, suicides, 2 by hanging, one jumped overboard in a bad storm.

Last check-in before I turn in and start the madness that is trying to work the equivalent of 3 FT jobs concurrently
Not enough hours in the day, but doubtful I could manage a 36 hour day :ROFLMAO:
I want to apologize about not spending too much time at the Cafe. I seem to be spending an inordinate amount of time on discord and not here with my online family which saddens me... Gotta stop running around with the neighbor's. :ROFLMAO: 🫂
Go and do what brings you joy, RJ.
I enjoy the time when you're here... but also happy to hear you're having fun (even if it's not with us). 🫂
Come to Wat, O Weasels of Sleep, and allow him to mash you . . . .

A bit of time helping someone unstick a plow truck. Never a fun situation to be in.
Now I'm feeling cold and tired. Time for that warm shower and cool sheets.

Goodnight, all ya all!
I thought you said to give @Wat_Tyler some "alone time"?
Oh! Not a euphemism? 🤭
As it should be! Keeps it from being overly sweet.
While at the same time being packed full of sugar 😂
Sometimes my body just annoys the fuck out of me!
Same. I'm no good helping but can tell them where the last person "got lucky" and always offer to drink more water. Tourniquets, hot packs, and tapping... I'm always telling them to whack harder. Anything to get that sample they need without having to drive all the way to Children's Hospital and wait 3 hours to get shuffled into the mix... and have them take 2-3 tries, too.
Reminds me - I have my draw tomorrow afternoon. I'll set a reminder to load up on water all day long. 🚰

On that happy note...

G'night and sweetest dreams, L2!

I will not drive on ice. Once in January, I was driving to work and saw luckily black ice. I slip my stick drive car out of gear and coasted until I got to traction. Unfortunately the SUV came up behind in the next lane very fast. The SUV hit the ice and started sliding sideways. As soon as it hit dry pavement it rolled. I pulled over and called the police.

The whole thing made me wary of black ice. I will not drive on it.
It's the other stupid drivers! 😤🤬

I went in to my Dr's office yesterday to get my blood drawn in preparation for my appointment with him next week. The young phlebotomist is very good and so sweet. She knows me and what a hard stick I am. She usually is able to draw my blood no problem.

Welllllll, yesterday I was a problem. She ended up having to stick me 4 times. She wanted to stop after 2 but I didn't want to have to come back so I convinced her to keep going. The first two sticks, I just turned away and let her do her thing. By the third one, I'm helping her. We could both feel the vein but when she advanced, it disappeared. On the last one she put on a hot pack then I spanked the hell out of the back of my hand. The veins popped up, together we chose one, she went for it, and SUCCESS!

Sometimes my body just annoys the fuck out of me! 🙄😤🤬
My body annoys me also. I am a good stick, as the veins are easy to get too. My weight loss is now a gain of 4 pounds, and blood work looks great. I am still a medical puzzle. Next stop is to an oral surgeon about unusual frontal gum bleeds

We are ruling out possible illnesses.

Sounds like a cursed boat!

Glad the person did well. It's unfathomable that the USCG wouldn't come out to get him after all that.🤬 Good on the client that sent the MedFlight!

Annoying, isn't it? 🙄

Glad your blood work was good. Water can make our body's weight fluctuate quite a bit. Could you have been dehydrated?

A good saying to remember - "A pint's a pound the world around."

We used this to educate our kidney failure patients on fluid management. They were to weigh themselves daily. If they were up a pound, they knew approximately how much extra water they had on.
