Oh, it's cold enough. Problem is, there's more cold potential in the next three months or so.


Spring arrives on 20 March, so there's that.

I remember last winter seemed to go on and on till April or so. It was good for firewood sales, but I was so ready for warmer weather.

Senior management here for the last day of her trip and my brother collects her tomorrow. Given she had a major stroke a year ago it’s amazing she is here let alone up and about. I have managed to get her out for a couple of short walks on my arm and her stick but it’s hard work!

She sounds like one tough lady!!

I literally was swearing my head off at this set of wiper blades this afternoon.
They come with NINE different sets of instructions, depending on how the wiper arm was designed.
There are 6 different adapters to make these wipers fit these 9 set of combinations!

Not one word is used in the instructions, it's all hieroglyphic pictographs...

Nice day today. I’ve been meaning the whole vacation to clean and organize my closet. Purged a lot of old clothing.

Cleaned and organized my garage workspace.

I went to see my friend who is now permanently bed bound. Was good to see him. We had a boatload of dumb laughs.

His wife said it was really good for him.

was in the neighborhood so swung by me ex brother in laws, and had a few beers and more laughs.

No farm work today.

It's a chilly one out there today again. Decided to fire up the Sauna. Honestly, I've been dreading lighting it for a little bit here, as we had a pretty good swarm of cluster flies, and they like to come alive in that place. So far it looks clean, and doesn't smell like burnt flies...

The snow is still fluffy soft. Not like sifted flower soft, but like shredded cotton candy soft. When it stays cold like that, naked snow angels are a bit more painful to make. It just sticks to you in clumps. I may not jump in the snowbank tonight. We'll see...

Well, all good things come to an end, it seems. Got a decent recess from Teh Job over the last 2.5 weeks. Tomorrow is back at it. I'm conjuring an end date to all of this shit, and I don't know if it will be a This Date kind of thing or a These Results kind of thing. Maybe some amalgamation of the two. To be determined. Since they don't let me be as In Charge as I was told I would be, and since we have whiners I cannot terminate (choose your own definition), and since I cannot fix/change/control either of these conditions, it's kinda looking like a hurry-up-get-it-done thing to speed departure. Besides, Opportunity awaits Out West, as there appears to be a freer way of supplementing/increasing the income stream. Wats have to eat, yanno.

Really hard to get photos of. We have those massive lake effect flakes coming down right now. Over an inch across, you can see the lumps in the snowbank. Probably 4" of accumulation in 45 minutes. The stuff falling is way bigger than the photo shows.

then you are in your honeymoon period. money coming from govt and stuff. i am 47. from Dhaka, Bangladesh. A country from south asia. I do a private job and have some small businesses. So no pension for me from the govt (only govt job holder gets pension after retirement according to the policy of our country). only if i can make my businesses completely passive, i can enjoy my retirement time, i believe.

I retired from my work with ASTM International. It is a Technical book publisher based in Philadelphia Pennsylvania USA. I was senior editor for 23 years. I'm married to my beautiful wife of for 48 years (she's 68) but she's very handicapped, and I'm her caregiver now.
