Nice day today. I’ve been meaning the whole vacation to clean and organize my closet. Purged a lot of old clothing.

Cleaned and organized my garage workspace.

I went to see my friend who is now permanently bed bound. Was good to see him. We had a boatload of dumb laughs.

His wife said it was really good for him.

was in the neighborhood so swung by me ex brother in laws, and had a few beers and more laughs.

No farm work today.

I'm glad you were able to get over to see your friend! I'm sure he appreciated the visit.

Well, all good things come to an end, it seems. Got a decent recess from Teh Job over the last 2.5 weeks. Tomorrow is back at it. I'm conjuring an end date to all of this shit, and I don't know if it will be a This Date kind of thing or a These Results kind of thing. Maybe some amalgamation of the two. To be determined. Since they don't let me be as In Charge as I was told I would be, and since we have whiners I cannot terminate (choose your own definition), and since I cannot fix/change/control either of these conditions, it's kinda looking like a hurry-up-get-it-done thing to speed departure. Besides, Opportunity awaits Out West, as there appears to be a freer way of supplementing/increasing the income stream. Wats have to eat, yanno.

then you are in your honeymoon period. money coming from govt and stuff. i am 47. from Dhaka, Bangladesh. A country from south asia. I do a private job and have some small businesses. So no pension for me from the govt (only govt job holder gets pension after retirement according to the policy of our country). only if i can make my businesses completely passive, i can enjoy my retirement time, i believe.

My 2 cents.... I just decided to retire from the sh*t show I work in..... 33 years plus and as AI encroaches I see the changes daily. A customer cannot reach a human when calling...... the first 3 layers of discussion are with untrained employees. My technical skill and knowledge is about 50 minutes away from the calling customer.
WTK is all I can say.

I realized that not only do I have a small farm to whip into shape...... I got many other things to do and grand sons to tutor on hunting. camping, and arrowhead hunting etc. BTW the grandsons are known as the Pancake Assassins....

There are Anvils and Poodles to tend I believe which means there is way more fun out west. I would suggest leaving sooner than later.... Time does not stop passing.

It's really the only time I watch TV. So if a movie is good or a show is good, I'll just finish it.
For a while I was getting 1.5 hrs 3-4 times a week. But, really started slacking this fall.
Starting to get back into it again.

I've had a busy weekend. Yesterday I noticed it wasn't raining at that particular moment so I headed outside to take down the Christmas lights. My helper came over when I had almost everything down. He finished getting the lights I couldn't reach then we packed them all away in their labeled totes. It started raining again about the time we finished.

Then I baked. I had stirred up some bread the night before. I'm going to the dentist tomorrow; I always bring treats with me. At this point, I think I'm not allowed in the door unless I have offerings! My dentist loves my bread so he gets a loaf.

Today I baked cookies. I made a double batch of chocolate chip cookie dough out of habit. Since I didn't really want to bake all the cookies, I just baked 4 dozen then made cookie balls out of the rest of the dough. The cookie balls went into the freezer then into a freezer bag when they were frozen. I'll be able to take them out to bake whenever I feel like doing so.

I also made potato chip cookies. They're a shortbread cookie with a very subtle taste. If you didn't know they were in there, you would never guess potato chips! They're not too sweet and one of my favorite cookies.
