Morning everyone. Been sleeping later lately, of course going to bed at midnight doesn't help. Well 22 degrees and heading out for 10. everyone enjoy!

Do you roast any of them? I use roasted pepitas in my bread.

We do not. After being hillbillies/little kids, we just grab a small bucket worth of random pumpkin and gourd seeds…. Rinse them and dry them for a few days.

Then into the freezer for stratifying…. Planting in the April/may timeframe.

I've had a busy weekend. Yesterday I noticed it wasn't raining at that particular moment so I headed outside to take down the Christmas lights. My helper came over when I had almost everything down. He finished getting the lights I couldn't reach then we packed them all away in their labeled totes. It started raining again about the time we finished.

Then I baked. I had stirred up some bread the night before. I'm going to the dentist tomorrow; I always bring treats with me. At this point, I think I'm not allowed in the door unless I have offerings! My dentist loves my bread so he gets a loaf.

Today I baked cookies. I made a double batch of chocolate chip cookie dough out of habit. Since I didn't really want to bake all the cookies, I just baked 4 dozen then made cookie balls out of the rest of the dough. The cookie balls went into the freezer then into a freezer bag when they were frozen. I'll be able to take them out to bake whenever I feel like doing so.

I also made potato chip cookies. They're a shortbread cookie with a very subtle taste. If you didn't know they were in there, you would never guess potato chips! They're not too sweet and one of my favorite cookies.

Those look super yummy! At first I was like “potato chip cookies?” I recall reasons somewhere that sweet and salty flavor makes the perfect flavor… so there must be something to it.
